You may have heard the name Robin Li. After all, Robin li's been referred to as "the man who took on Google and won." Thanks to his creation of Baidu, China's largest search engine in China. But, what do you really know about the 49-year-old man?
Born in 1968,Li was the 4th of 5 children born to factory workers in Yangquan of Shanxi Province in northern China. Back then, Yangquan was an underdeveloped city that did not offer much to its people. Like most of the kids in the neighborhood, Li spent his childhood in hardships and lack of better education. His mother,
however, taught him to stay motivated for a better tomorrow. He grew up remembering his mothers words, "We don't have a good background, if you want a better life,a better job in the future you will have to stud hard and ensure you get into the best college. ” Li never forgot his mother's words and studied religiously.
He cleared the entrance of Peking University and completed Bachelor of Science degree in library information management.
