Unit 7 Protect the Earth (Period 1)教学设计教材分析：本课时教学的内容是译林版六年级上册第七单元Protect the Earth(Story time)。
这个单元跟第六单元有些练习，都和环保有关，所以在引出本课话题之初，我设置了地球妈妈受伤害的情境，让学生各抒己见，一方面复习了第六单元内容，另一方面因势利导，引出新课内容。
一、教学内容：Story time二、教学目标：1、能听懂、会读、会说protect, earth, save, useful, waste, reuse, energy, most,coal, wood, cut down, plastic, oil, drive, so much.2、能听懂、会读、会说日常交际用语We use …to …We should …Weshouldn’t …3、通过小组合作交流，利用思维导图，能正确地理解并能用标准的语音语调朗读文本，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。
4、让学生了解保护地球的重要性，培养学生热爱地球，保护地球的意识，了解更多保护地球的方法。
三、教学重点：对词汇和句型的理解。
四、教学难点：通过小组合作交流，利用思维导图，能正确地理解并朗读文本，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

1、关注身边的环境卫生情况，能较完整的陈述地球的环境问题，并提出自己的建议。
2、会制作一份再利用资源的小作品。
三单元设计 意图本单元分四课时进行教学，由Story time 的说明文导入本单元话题的学习，了解并掌握说明的方法和所用的语言。
通过其他板块进行巩固和拓展，最后以学生的DIY 作品和作文进行展示。
培养学生培养学生概括文本信息的能力和活用词汇、句型进行交流的能力，锻炼学生的写作能力，并培养学生关注环境、保护环境的意识。
1、在各个板块的练习和巩固中，理清每个版块的功能，做到有的放矢，重点操练，不流于形式。
2、创造机会，展出学生的优秀作品。

Unit 7 Protect the Earth单元解读一、单元内容体现的课标理念本单元教学内容为译林版《英语》六年级上册第七单元Protect the Earth主题是保护地球。
地球是人类的家园，是我们的“母亲”，但现在地球面临资源短缺、环境污染、生态被破坏等危机，我们要引导学生思考现存的问题，我们和地球是共存亡的，就“如何保护地球”进行深层次探讨，引导学生绿色生活、热爱地球、保护地球。
本单元话题为Protect the earth，该主题属于“人与自然”范畴，涉及“人与自然相互依存，绿色生活的理念和行为”这一子主题。
通过语篇学习，学生能从地球上的淡水、能源、树木及塑料等四方面了解地球资源或材料的用途及使用情况，并根据现状提出保护地球的建议，其中句型use... to...和情态动词should的用法贯穿整个单元的学习。
