高中英语模块八第四单元“Pygmalion”教学设计一.教材依据本文依据的教材是2007年2月第2版人民教育出版社出版的《普通高中课程标准实验教科书英语选修八》,内容为第四单元“Pygmalion”的第一课时阅读课。
二.设计思路1. 指导思想根据《高中英语新课程标准》,在课堂教学中,必须以学生为主体,为中心进行教学,教师在教学中起主导作用。
因此我采用任务型教学方式,每一部分都设有一定的任务,引导学生自主或者合作完成。
以学生为主教师为辅的指导思想贯穿始终。
2. 设计理念教学过程的设计由对作者萧伯纳生平及作品的讨论和作者本人及其代表作的图片展示开始,引入本课阅读文章,阅读活动由戏剧的主要要素(时间、地点、人物等)到人物性格的分析,由易到难,步步推进,层层深入。
接着进行课文的听力及观看视频资料,旨在让学生对本课有更直观的了解,对人物语言,人物性格有更准确的把握,学生可通过电影片段来推测主人公将来的遭遇,从而激发学生对本单元学习的兴趣。
通过学生的短剧排演,不仅培养了学生的口头表达能力,使学生学会合作,学会沟通,同时也锻炼了意志力,树立了自信心。
这对学生综合素质的提高起到很好的作用。
整个教学过程以教材为载体,以学生为中心,学生参与活动贯穿始终。
学生既有个人活动,又有小组活动和班级活动。
3. 教材分析本课是高中英语模块八第四单元第一课时阅读课,主要内容是根据古希腊神话改编的戏剧剧本《窈窕淑女》。
“热身”(Warming up)部分通过图片引出有关皮格马利翁(Pygmalion)的希腊神话故事,让学生对《窈窕淑女》的由来有一个初步的印象;通过对两个问题的讨论可以帮助学生打开思路,并为以后学习剧本和理解剧情做准备。
“读前”(Pre-reading)教师简单的介绍故事的内容激发学生的学习兴趣,帮助教师引入课文的主题。
“阅读”(Reading)部分是剧本中的第一幕。
故事讲述了一位来自社会下层且语言粗俗的卖花女,偶然遇到了上层社会的皮克林上校和希金斯教授的情形。
Unit 4 Pygmalion[导读] 《窈窕淑女》是一部酷似灰姑娘的喜剧,萧伯纳用风趣和幽默的手法,对资产阶级虚伪性进行揭露和辛辣讽刺。
该剧被布鲁克斯称为“本世纪最优秀之音乐歌舞剧〞,曾经荣获托尼奖,被纽约戏剧评论界和外部评论界评为1956年最正确歌舞剧。
在纽约和伦敦,此剧上座率居高不下,胜过同期上演的任何一出百老汇戏剧。
