A centuryold house is a testament to the passage of time,a structure that has borne witness to the evolution of society,technology,and the lives of countless individuals. Heres a composition about such a house,capturing its essence and the stories it could tell.In the heart of a quaint neighborhood,there stands a house that has braved the test of a hundred years.Its walls,weathered by the elements,tell tales of the past,each brick and mortar a silent narrator of history.The house,with its Victorian architecture,is an elegant reminder of a bygone era,its grandeur softened by the gentle patina of age.The exterior of the house is adorned with intricate woodwork,the ornate details a testament to the craftsmanship of the era.The large bay windows,draped in lace curtains, offer a peek into the lives of those who have called this place home.The front porch,with its creaky wooden steps,invites one to sit and ponder the stories of the past. Stepping inside,the grand entrance hall greets visitors with a warm embrace.The high ceilings and the sweeping staircase are reminiscent of the grandeur of the time.The wooden floors creak underfoot,each creak a memory of the countless footsteps that have traversed this space.The walls are adorned with family portraits,their aged frames a silent witness to the lineage of the family that once lived here.The rooms are spacious,with high ceilings and large windows that allow natural light to flood in.The fireplaces,with their ornate mantelpieces,are the centerpieces of each room, their hearths cold now but once the source of warmth and comfort.The furniture,though outdated,is wellpreserved,each piece a relic of the past that speaks of the tastes and preferences of its former owners.The kitchen,with its oldfashioned appliances and large wooden table,is a place where many a meal was prepared and shared.The garden out back,now overgrown and wild, was once a welltended oasis,a place where children played and families gathered.As the years passed,the house has seen many changes.It has been updated with modern amenities,yet it retains its oldworld charm.The electrical wiring has been replaced,the plumbing modernized,and the heating system upgraded.Yet,the house still holds onto its original features,the stained glass windows,the ornate moldings,and the antique chandeliers.The house is not just a building it is a living,breathing entity that has absorbed the joys and sorrows of its inhabitants.It has been a sanctuary during times of crisis,a place ofcelebration during times of joy,and a silent companion during times of solitude.Today,the house stands as a symbol of resilience and endurance.It is a reminder of the past,a connection to our roots,and a beacon of hope for the future.As we walk through its rooms,we cant help but feel a sense of reverence for the lives that have been lived within its walls,the stories that have unfolded,and the memories that have been created.In conclusion,a centuryold house is more than just a structure it is a repository of history, a canvas of memories,and a monument to the passage of time.It is a place that invites us to reflect on our past,appreciate our present,and dream of our future.。

This house supports harsher censorship of the Internet Good morning all!
Motion: this house supports harsher censorship to the Internet. The internet is the fastest growing and largest tool for mass communication and information distribution in the world. It can be used to distribute large amounts of information anywhere in the world at a minimal cost. In the last ten years there has been increasing concern about damaging internet content . Especially as more acuter as the situation is. Our house is bound to serve as the protector of our society by supporting a harsher censorship.
Next, there are the constructions of our motion:
1.Our offsprings need to be shielded from the deadly effect of the Internet;
2.The damaging Internet content is harmful for the security of our nation;
In detail, our children are the prospect of society, and their growth is imbued with unpredicted factors which are originated from different aspects they encounter with in the society. The interest is predominant over other ways that do illy impact children. With the Internet advancing, violence and sexual content, terrorist activity and child pornography tried their best to jump into the main stream of every part of the Internet, and is eager to affiliate children to them. Children as a special state of people are in lack of awareness of good and bad. They trifle with these damaging content and are altered gradually. There are plentiful statistics in relation to the bad influence of the Internet on children. With the benefit of our national future, we are obligated to shoulder the duty of creating shelter from the harm of some damaging content of the Internet. So we support harsher censorship of the Internet.
It's the rights for people to speak or express something, as well as distribute information on the Internet. Access to perform the freedom of speech is not always appropriate or legal, because parts of the people abuse their right of free speech and accidently or on purpose imperil the security of our nation. As far as the affairs recent are concerned, the radical statements or incogitative sentences on a certain sensitive issue may impel our society to be unstable or stimulate some people with ambitions to do something harmful. For instance, while the Japanese nuclear station explosion is at the edge of danger, some people say that our country will get a crucial damage, our economy will suffer from severe crisis on the Internet. Soon, to prevent daily life from setbacks during economic crisis , many citizens in ZheJiang province launched a unprecedented agitation of snapping up salt. It's luck for us that our country effectively controlled the current of social unrest. This circumstance utterly narrated the significant impact formed by the Internet. As a part of the whole, Prohibiting any form of behaviour against national security and harmony is the necessary measure in terms of protecting national benefit which in conformity to the individual's. Of course, laying majority of emphasis on national security doesn't mean that we slight the right of people of this democratic country.
In short, harsher censorship is advantageous to shelter our children and defend the national security gate, therefore facing the increasingly significant influence of the Internet and the rising change of the role of the Internet, considering the future of our
offsprings and the security of nation, the house supports harsher censorship of the Internet.
Thank you!。
