是不可数名词。
常与动词do连用,构成do some/a lot of research (on...),意为“做一些(关于……的)研究/做许多研究”。
【延伸】research也可作动词,意为“研究;调查”。
2. develop v. 研制;制定【点拨】常用短语:develop plans制定计划,其同义短语为make plans。
如:She developed other plans to help children.她制定了其他的计划来帮助孩子们。

3. feed v. 喂养;饲养【点拨】feed作及物动词时,意为“喂养;饲养”,其过去式和过去分词均为fed。

(2)feed sth. to...=feed...on sth.,意为“把某物喂给……”。

4. symbol n. 象征;标志【点拨】symbol是名词,意为“象征;标志”。
常用短语:the symbol of...,意为“……的象征”。
