triumph over nature ? different people have different opinion.

some people think that man can conquer nature . just at

now ,humans can predict the weather forecast ,when the drought in some

areas , we can use the artificial rainfall to reduce losses .The more great is

humans can survive in extremely bad enviroment , such as the polar regions.

On the contrary ,some people think that human nature will retaliate .

With the demand for more and more nature resources , the destruction of the

natural is also growing ,so there are many natural disaster has happened. for

example , the tsunami of 2004 , the earthquake of 2008 ,and so on , this

Owing to the development of economy and society, the topic

the relationship between man and nature has been paid more and

more attention. Is it true that man can overcome nature? Views

vary from people to people.

In my opinion, the force of nature is too powerful to be resisted.

If we want to live safely for a long time, we should get along with

the nature harmoniously.

In the past few years, it's not hard to see that with the

progressof science and technology, we can build DAMS to prevent

floods. Besides ,we can predict weather by artificial rainfall to

prevent drought.Even so, moreand more frequent earthquakes,

typhoons and other natural disasters are all warning to us, even if

we are delusional to control it through technology, but the forces of

nature are far beyond our imagination.

Can man triumph over nature?

Thanks to the advanced science and technology, people are able to survive

many harsh environments. When it’s extremely hot or cold, all you have to do

is turn on the air-conditioner. What’s more, people can enjoy all kinds of

vegetables and fruit which are provided in certain seasons at any time. For

these reasons, some people begin to say man do have the ability to conquer

nature and make it serve us better. However, I think it’s way too simple to draw

that conclusion.

Think of the tsunami happened in Japan and tornado that have raged for years

in America. Nature has never give up showing man its unbeatable power now

and then.Besides, take the recent weather in Beijing for example; the city is
