Unit 1Where did you go on vacation?单元教材分析课时教学设计第一课时Section A (1a－2d)1．通过看图说话、师生问答、听录音、角色扮演、猜谜语、简笔画等形式，教会本课时的单词anyone，anywhere，wonderful，few，most和短语quite a few。
2．通过师生问答、角色扮演等形式，教会“Where did you go on vacation？”“I went to…”和“Did you…？”等句型。
重点让学生学会描述自己假期所进行的活动。
难点学会用一般过去时态描述过去发生的事情；掌握不定代词的用法。
Step 1情景导入通过师生自由交际进行复习与热身。
让学生回忆曾经学过的与假期活动相关的词汇。
例如：stay at home, go to the mountains, go to New York City, go to the beach, go to summer camp…。
通过师生谈论自己假期所做的事情，调动学生对本课时话题的学习兴趣，从而达到巩固已学知识的目的，同时实现新旧知识的衔接。

Where did you go on vacation？你去哪里度假了?⑴这是一个由疑问副词where引导的特殊疑问句。
where用来询问地点和场所，放在句首，其后跟一般疑问句。
如：Where did you go yesterday?你昨天去哪里了?⑵go on vacation意为“去度假”.如:I want to go on vacation in Hainan this winter。
今年冬天我想去海南度假。
He will go on vacation with his family.他要与家人一起去度假。

visited my uncle 看望了我叔叔visit在此为及物动词，意为“拜访;探望”，后接表示人的名词或代词。
visit还可以意为“参观;游览”,后接表示地点的名词。
如：I visited my grandmother last week.上周我去看望了我的外婆.Do you want to visit Shanghai?你想游览上海吗？【拓展】⑴visit可用作名词，意为“访问；参观；拜访”。
如:This is my first visit to Provence.这是我第一次到普罗旺斯参观。
⑵visitor意为“参观者；游客”。
如:These visitors come from China。
这些参观者来自中国。

其过去式为bought。
如：It takes a lot of money to buy a house.买一座房子要花一大笔钱。

三.Teaching procedure:
Step 1: Revision （3mins）
To review the sentencs--- how was one’s vacation ?
----Where did they go on vacation ?
Step 2: Adjective and sentences learning (4 mins）
Look at the pictures to practise the sentence — How was / were .....
Step 3: Look and say (3mins)
1) Lisa went to Hong Kong with her family. What does Hong Kong look like?
Let’s have a look!
2)To consolidate adjetive and the sentences How was / were.....
Step 4: 1a. (3mins)
1. Point to the six words. delicious, expensive, exciting, cheap, terrible, boring
2. Read the words and let Ss read after the teacher.
3. Point to the last picture and say: This is a cake. It’s delicious. Then do the same thing for all six pictures.
4. Let Ss match each word with a picture. Then check the answers with the students.
Step 5: 1b (3 mins)
1. Explain the meaning of “ words” and “ words.”
2. Let Ss discuss the words they know and write them down on the line.
3. Let some Ss read out their words to the class. (Or let some Ss write their words on the blackboards.)
Step 6: 1c Listening (4mins)
1. T: Now let's work on 1c. First, let one student read the questions aloud. Make sure all the Ss know the meanings of the questions.
2. Play the recording for the first time. Ss only listen.
3. Then play the recording for the second time. Ss listen and answer the questions.
4. Then play the recording for the third time for the Ss to check the answers.
5. Check the answers: (Look at the big screen.)
Step 7: 1d . Listen and fill in the blanks (4mins)
1. Tell Ss this time they have to write down what Lisa said about her vacation, the people, the fun park, the food and the store.
2. Then play the recording for the second time. Ss listen and write down the words.
3. Then play the recording for the third time for the Ss to check the answers.
Step 8: 1e. Pair work(6mins)
1. Tell Ss to ask and answer about Lisa’s vacation. Begin your questions with the following sentences. For example:
Where did you go on vacation?
I went to New York City.
Did you go with anyone?
Yes, I did.
2. Ss work in pairs and ask and answer about Lisa’s vacations.
3. Let some pairs come to the front and ask and answer in pairs.
Step 9: Make a report. (6 mins)
Discuss with your partner about Lisa's vacation , and write down a passage , show to the class.
Step 10: Homework (2mins)
1.Write a diary about what you did on your vacation.
