T: Today, we'll review the key points we've learnt in our class.
First, Let's think the important sentences of starter Unit1—3.
(students say the sentences loudly by themselves)
After a while, Teacher presents the second powerpoint.
T: Look at the screen. What's this in English?
Ss: It's an orange.
T: Spell it, please.
Ss: O-R-A-N-G-E.
T: What color is it?
Ss: It's orange.
T: Look at this picture. Let's make sentences in this way together. 2 OK?
Ss: OK.
T: Let's begin.
Ss: What's this in English?
It's an apple.
Spell it, please.
A-P-P-L-E.
What color is it?
It's red.
OK. Very good.
T: Now look at these pictures. We'll practice the conversation again.
I'll devide you into two groups.(Use guesture language) You're the
group A. The others are the group B.(Present the third powerpoint).
Group A ask & group B answer
Are you clear?
Ss: Yes.
(Ss practice the conversation in two groups)
T: Great! Exchange your roles, group B ask and group A answer.
(Students use the next powerpoint to practice the conversation
again.)
III Review the key points of Unit 1.
① T: Next, think the sentences we've learnt in Unit1. 3 What's your name?
My name is …….
Nice to meet you.
Nice to meet you, too.
T: Now ,work in pairs, ask your partner these questions in one
minute.
(T: Choose three or five pairs to act)
T: OK. Next step , this picture (powerpoint seven)
Do you know him? What’s his name?
Ss: Yao Ming.
T: He’s Yao Ming. His name’s Yao Ming. This picture, a beautiful
girl(powerpoint 8)
What’s her name?
Ss: Her name’s Li Wen.
T: Well, you’re excellent.
(present powerpoint 9)
We can sum up the sentences like this. Now, four students in
a group and practice this conversation.(powerpoint10)
Are you clear? Two minutes.
(Ss: practice in groups.)
After a few minutes, choose two groups to act.)
②T: OK, very good! All of you are very active. Thank you! 4 Listen to me carefully, we'll go on next step. How to use “be” ?
Who knows?(Some students hand up , T: choose one student to
answer this question, then ask students to say it together.)
T: Now, Let's do some exercises.(powerpoint 11,12)
(Give students a few minutes to do these exercises and check the
answers.)
③T:You're good at “be”.
Next step. The differences between Chinese names and English names.
Ss: Chinese name last name+first name
English names first name+ last name
T: OK. Look at this sentence:
My name is Yang Panpan.
So my last name is Yang and my last name is Panpan.Yes?
But this sentence: His name is Jim Green.
Which is his first name? And which is his last name?
Ss: His first name is Jim. His last name is Green.
(Review the first name and the last name in the same way
following the pictures17-19.)
④Numbers
T: Let’s review the numbers together.(zero—nine)
(students review the numbers following pictures)
T: Next, we’ll do some exercises about maths. (present the 5 powerpoint 31, give students 1 minute to prepare, then check the
answers one by one. Deal with the exercises of powerpoint 32 in
the same way.)
T: OK. All of you are good at maths.
In Unit one, we learnt the telephone numbers. Can you read these
telephone numbers loudly?
Ss: Yes.(Read them loudly)
T: Very good. Now I’ll give you some time to say your telephone
number in English.After a while, you can take terns to say your
telephone number loudly and others try to remember it. Do you
understand me?
Ss: Yes.(students practice their telephone numbers using this
sentence: My telephone number is…..)
A few minutes later.
T: Stop. Who wants to tell others your telephone number? Please hand
up.
S1: My telephone number is ….
T: What's her\his telephone number ?
Ss: Her\His telephone number is ……
S1: Yes,thank you.
IV Sum up
T: OK. All of you are very active this class. From now on, I hope 6 all of you can pay more attention to your studies. And I believe
you can make greater progress.
V Homework
T: After the class, please make your own ID card, including your
first name, last name and your telephone number. Are you clear?
