In the reading material, we will mainly study about a life in sport---Lining. By studying this module, we’ll enable students to know the general information about Li Ning and develop an interest in sports and some great sportsmen. This lesson not only teaches the students to learn the related materials about LiNing’s success as a sportsman and businessman, but also learning ability in English .So it plays an important part in the English teaching in this module. If the Ss can master it well, it will be helpful for them to learn the rest of this module.According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus , the teaching aims are as follows: the knowledge aim is to help the students master some important words and expressions about sports and understand the content of the lesson, and talk about their own favorite sports star.And the ability aim is t o develop the Ss’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
