二、学情分析六年级学生既带有少年的天真又时常表现出青年的成熟。
随着知识的积累和对事物体验的深化,六年级学生内心世界比较丰富。
除了注意事物外表的形式之外,更注意对事物的分析和主观体会,对很多问题都可以做出自己的回答。
记忆力增强,使大脑中存储的信息迅速增加,孩子可以进行比较复杂地推理和运算。
本课时是本单元的第四课时了,孩子们对身高、体重等的英语表达已有了一定的了解。
因此,本课重在通过一些有趣的活动,希望能激发孩子们的学习兴趣。
三、重点难点1. 询问、回答有关身高、体重、脚的大小尺寸等问题,并能书写相关句型。
2. 能听懂、会说、书写句子“What size are your shoes? Size …” How heavy are you? I’m … kilograms.”并能在实际情景中准确运用。

4.课件里出现一只猴子和一只鹦鹉,猴子得到实物时,不停地向游客作揖,甚是可爱,教师指着它说“It's smart.”那只鹦鹉正在向游客争宠,“恭喜发财”的声音不绝于耳,教师指着鹦鹉说:“It's smarter than the monkey.”教师板书并带读smarter。
5.教师拿出准备好的气球,并让同学们注意气球的变化,打开气球的出气口只见气球慢慢变小了,教师说:“It's becoming small.”教师板书become,并领读。
(二)While-reading 教师出示本部分挂图,接着播放Read and write部分的录音,将学生带入情境,让学生初步感知课文。
1.初听课文后回答问题:
(1) Choose a title for the story.
(2)Who is younger?
(3)When is the duck's shadow longer?
2.再次播放课文录音,学生跟读模仿,并完成文后填空题。
3.细读课文,以填空的形式出示文中重点句型,学生进行补充,
深入学习本课出现的比较级句型,以及“比较级+and+比较级”的用法。
(三) Post-reading 深层理解课文,组织学生讨论课本第9页“Think and discuss.”部分的问题。
Step 4:Homework
1.朗读并抄写Read and write部分的单词和段落。
2.请学生画一幅夏天和冬天的景色图,找出它们的不同,尽量用形容词的比较级写句子。

教学反思
语篇教学是小学英语教学的一个难点内容。
在学习语篇前,通过若干个游戏、活动学习本课出现的生词;在语篇教学中,首先要让学生整体感知、了解课文大意,在听短文之前,提出一两个问题,让学生带着问题去听,在听的过程中抓住有用信息。
整体感知之后,可以进行分段处理,学习课文里出现的语言点。
每一个环节都布置一些小任务,让学生在完成任务的过程中理解课文,最后能水到渠成地读和写。
