1. careless adj. 粗心的;疏忽的
【点拨】careless是形容词,意为“粗心的;疏忽的”。careless是由名词care加形容词后缀-less构成的形容词。-less可跟在某些名词之后构成形容词,后缀-less表示“不具有”或“没有……的特征”。如:
help(帮助)—helpless(无助的) use(用处)—useless(无用的)
end(结束)—endless(无尽的) sleep(睡觉)—sleepless(失眠的)
2. against prep. (在比赛或战斗中)对(某人或某事物)
Unit2 基础知识归纳
1.......we are going to play against another school next week.
……我们下周将和另一个学校比赛。
句中against为介词,表示反对,对......对抗。
against常见用法如下:表示反对,其反义词为for。若表示强烈反对,一般用副词strongly;经常同那些与之含义相关的动词连用。如:fight, struggle, protest, argue,
guard等。
Are you for or against the plan? 你对这个建议是赞成还是反对呢?
The soldiers fought against the enemies bravely.士兵们勇敢地反抗敌人。
2. The practice starts at 10 am. We all arrive as early as we can so that we have time
to warm up.训练上午10:00开始,我们尽可能早到,以便于有时间热身。
(1)as early as we can尽早;as...as sb. can=as...as possible.
We should speak English as much as we can.
=We should speak English as much as possible.
(2)so that可引导目的状语从句,意为“以便,目的是”,此时so that后面从句中的谓语动词常和may, can, should等情态动词连用。也可引导结果状语从句。
He got up very early so that he could catch the train.他起得很早以便能赶上火车。(目的状语从句)
He raised his voice, so that everyone heard him.他提高了声音,结果大家都听见了。(结果状语从句)

本课为Module3 Unit2。主要学习用现在完成时讨论人类已经实施的太空探索,学生在Unit1的学习中接触过现在完成时。 本节课主要教授already, just, yet等在现在完成时的用法。要求学生在各种任务活动中熟练运用目标语言,并形成一定的学习策略和思维技巧,同时体验合作的快乐的成功感,同时渗透德育教育,了解中国“神舟五号”,“神舟六号”太空探索壮举,增强民族自豪感。
目标定位:
1. 知识目标: 词汇:planet , solar, system, environment, grow, galaxy, billion, universe, beyond,
alone , prefer, entrance
掌握already, just, yet的用法
能正确运用现在完成时进行表达。
2. 技能目标:能够读懂有关太空话题的文章,掌握文章大意。
能够写出有关太空探索的段落。
3. 情感目标:了解中国“神舟五号”,“神舟六号”太空探索壮举,增强民族自豪感。
教学重点:already, just, yet 在现在完成时中的运用。
难点: 运用现在完成时进行表达
