Could you help me keep it till I get better?” Before I could answer, he had been take n away by his mother.I had thought that the boy just had a serious cold, but I was sad when I was told that he had cancer (癌症) and had to start his last period (时期) of treatment. I felt sorry for him and lucky for myself.A little boy could be so confident of getting better. Why couldn’t I do that? The boy didn’t come to my room anymore, but I would never forget what he gave to me that day. It was much more than a teddy bear. Sometimes they simply want our attention, while other times, they are telling us: “my food bowl is empty”. Pet owners can soon understand these and then satisfy their pets’ needs. During his stay in China, he saw many wonderful things. One of the things he discovered was paper money. In Western countries, people did not use paper money until the 15th century. However, people in China began to use paper money in the 7th century.A Chinese man called Cai Lun invented paper almost 2, 000 years ago. He made it from wood. He took the wood from trees and made it into paper. He then put these pieces of paper together and made them into a book. Now paper still comes from trees. We use a lot of paper every day. If we keep on wasting somuch paper, there will not be any trees left on the Earth. If there are no trees, there will be no paper. Every day, people throw away about 2,800 tons of paper. It takes 17 trees to make one ton of paper. This means that we are cutting nearly 48,000 trees every day. Since it takes more than 10 years for a tree to grow, we must start using less paper now. If we don’t , we will not have enough time to grow more trees to take the place of those we use for paper. So, can we save paper? We can use both sides of every piece of paper, especially when weare making notes. We can choose drinks in bottles instead of those in paper packets. We can also use cotton handkerchiefs but not paper ones. When wen go shopping, we can use fewer paper bags. If the shop assistant does give us a paper bag, we can save it and reuse it later.Everyone can help to save paper. If we all try our best, we can help protect trees. And we should do it now before it is too late.1.When he was in China, Marco Polo ________.A.discover Cai Lun inventedB. learned to make paper.C. saw many wonderful thingsD. read a lot books2.People in Western countries first used paper money in the ________ century.A.17thB. 15thC. 13thD.7th3.Which of the following is NOT the way of saving paper according the passage?A.to use both sides of every piece of paperB.To use the paper bags from shops more than once.C.To use cotton handkerchiefs instead of paper ones.D.To grow more trees.4.Which of the following is NOT true?A.If we keep on wasting paper, we will have no paper to use.B.The Chinese used paper money much earlier than the westerners.C.About 48,000 trees can be used to make 2,800 tons of paper.D.It is never too late to plant trees for paper.5.Which is the best title of the passage?A.Saving PaperB.
The most popular student in my class,然后问‘Who is the most popular student in my class?’,在得到呼声最高的名字后,教师在黑板靠近底部写上‘______ is the most popular student in my class.’,并问‘Why do you think so?’,让学生说出至少支撑这个观点的若干原因,并逐条将其写在‘______ is the most popular student in my class.’上方。
The most popular student in my classJack is kind and helpful. He always helps his classmates. He also helps his teachers. He does well in all subjects and he is good at playing the piano. Jack is the most popular student in my class.
The most popular student in my classJack, my classmateHe’s kind and helpfulHe helps classmates and teachersHe does well in subjectsAnd playing the pianoJack is the most popular studentIn my class教师用教材第110页A What do you know about …?中What is poetry? 1. Do we only use difficult words in poems?2. Are poems only about flowers or animals?3. Are all poems have complete sentences?4. Can we write poems about our feelings or ideas?
We can use easy words in poems.Poem are not only about flowers or animals. Not all peoms have complete sentences. We can write poems about our feelings or ideas.
As you can see, the crane is very high. On the crane, there is a plank. The plank is not wide, in fact it is very narrow, so when the write r’s father is walking on the narrow plank, it will be dangerous for him. Usually, people will be very afraid of walking on such a narrow plank, but the father is not scared at all, he’s brave.
He comes home, has a shower,And eats dinner, every day. Now, he’s sitting in his favourite chair. He’s reading the paperAnd watching television.Soon he’ll go to bed. He’s a boring man, my dad.And then one day I see him,On the building site, at work. He’s high up, in the clouds, up in the air. He’s fixing a crane, so clever. He’s working higher than the birds,He’s walking on a narrow plank,Not scared, not scared like me.He’s a super man, my dad. He’s working higher than the birds,He’s walking on a narrow plank,Not scared, not scared like me.He’s a super man, my dad.Step 3: Read the poem to get a closer understanding, finding the supporting一、教师要求学生默读第一诗节,并问:(1) Does the father talk to his child at home?(2) Does the father tell interesting stories to his child at home?(3) Now, what do you think of him?(4) What does the father do at home?(5) How often does he do it?(6) Now, what do you think of him?(7) Look! What is the father doing now?(8) Now, what do you think of the father?(9) What will he do soon?(10) Now, what do you think of him?二、教师要求学生默读第二诗节,并提出问题‘Why does the writer say his father is a super man?’,学生通过在第二诗节寻找细节来回答这个问题,从而找到支撑句。
Step 6:Assignment1. Write a poem ‘My ’2. Read the poem again to modify it with patterns or special features learned in this【板书设计】。
