教授又提出了其他建议。
Listening 2 地质学有关地球模型的话题。
说地球不能只是分成crust, mantle, core。
mantle会分成upper和lower两种，Core 的内部是高温高压，某物质会很有趣地变化，并拿水做例子。
又说crust可以直接观察，但mantle和core不行，因为里面高温高压，要用其他方法测定。
文章用了实验室模拟高压，类似于切割钻石一样，也是集中一小块面积来切，高温用laser模拟。
最后一次偶然拿了mantle的crystal说之后科学家可以对照样本，来和实验室得到的东西做结论，从而可以计算地幔核心温度。
Listening 3 社会学讲的是conformity。
举例：比较直线长短。
教授说人总是遵循conformity, 一开始提出的时候很多人不同意，认为自己是non-conformist。
后来就做了个实验，一个很简单的问题，他很容易选出正确答案，后来其他七个人故意选一个错的答案，看看那个人会不会盲从地也选那个错的答案。
然后又说到生活中人也是遵循conformity的，而且往往是潜移默化的。

刚开始介绍了mirror hall的环境，然后女生想申请resident assistant。

homo 是同形态的物质混合相溶成一个，如水和酒精，无法分层；hetero 是不同形态的物质混合，如水和油、土壤分层等。
有些hetero 不易被观察，只有被放大才可以观察，比如烟和脏水。
