ACM SIGKDD数据挖掘及知识发现会议1清华大学计算机系王建勇1、KDD概况ACM SIGKDD国际会议（简称KDD）是由ACM的数据挖掘及知识发现专委会[1]主办的数据挖掘研究领域的顶级年会。

它为来自学术界、企业界和政府部门的研究人员和数据挖掘从业者进行学术交流和展示研究成果提供了一个理想场所，并涵盖了特邀主题演讲（keynote presentations）、论文口头报告（oral paper presentations）、论文展板展示（poster sessions）、研讨会（workshops）、短期课程（tutorials）、专题讨论会（panels）、展览（exhibits）、系统演示（demonstrations）、KDD CUP赛事以及多个奖项的颁发等众多内容。

由于KDD的交叉学科性和广泛应用性，其影响力越来越大，吸引了来自统计、机器学习、数据库、万维网、生物信息学、多媒体、自然语言处理、人机交互、社会网络计算、高性能计算及大数据挖掘等众多领域的专家、学者。

KDD可以追溯到从1989年开始组织的一系列关于知识发现及数据挖掘(KDD)的研讨会。

自1995年以来，KDD已经以大会的形式连续举办了17届，论文的投稿量和参会人数呈现出逐年增加的趋势。

2011年的KDD会议（即第17届KDD 年会）共收到提交的研究论文（Research paper）714篇和应用论文（Industrial and Government paper）73篇，参会人数也达到1070人。

下面我们将就会议的内容、历年论文投稿及接收情况以及设置的奖项情况进行综合介绍。

此外，由于第18届KDD年会将于2012年8月12日至16日在北京举办，我们还将简单介绍一下KDD’12[4]的有关情况。

2、会议内容自1995年召开第1届KDD年会以来，KDD的会议内容日趋丰富且变的相对稳定。

其核心内容是以论文报告和展版（poster）的形式进行数据挖掘同行之间的学术交流和成果展示。

最新无线网络领域顶级国际期刊、会议档次划分和介绍无线网络算是计算机(CS)和电子工程(EE)的一个交叉学科。

相关的会议和期刊通常没有物理生物等领域那些量化的影响因子排名。

但是有一点是公认的：会议影响力远大于期刊。

而会议之间也没有任何量化比较，只有人们默认的一些不成文的档次划分。

我读硕士和博士期间，组里对于会议和期刊档次的划分大致如下(其中加入了一些个人分析和评价)。

第一档：SIGCOMM, MobiComSIGCOMM是ACM老牌会议，其首席地位无可置疑。

SIGCOMM论文录用率在10%左右，收录的论文偏重系统和协议设计，极少有理论论文。

另外，每年收录的二三十篇论文中仅有1/5左右是无线网络，但这些论文的平均质量和影响力都很高。

MobiCom 专注于无线网络，每年收录30篇左右，录用率在10%~15%。

在2005年以前，MobiCom论文以理论加仿真占主导，所以一人一电脑就可搞定。

但之后随着WiFi硬件接口的公开和软件无线电平台的星期，做实验变得越来越容易，所以对于实验验证的要求越来越高，收录的论文也越来越偏系统设计测量之类。

2010年MobiCom的一位组委会成员感叹：MobiCom is becoming highly imbalanced. The systems guys clearly dominate the entire conference. Most of them don’t have the patience to read theory papers… If you don’t have any running code, it’s very hard to get in.第二档：MobiHoc, MobiSys, SIGMETRICSMobiHoc, MobiSys两个会议可以说是MobiCom下比肩而立的两兄弟。

MobiHoc偏理论，MobiSys偏系统和应用(特别是手机等移动计算系统)。

SCI、EI、ISTP、SSCI、CSSCI和CSCD介绍美国《科学引文索引》的英文简称，其全称为：Science Citation Index,，创刊于1961年，它是根据现代情报学家加菲尔德(Engene Garfield) 1953年提出的引文思想而创立的，由美国科学信息研究所(ISI)1961年创办出版的引文数据库，其覆盖生命科学、临床医学、物理化学、农业、生物、兽医学、工程技术等方面的综合性检索刊物，尤其能反映自然科学研究的学术水平，是目前国际上三大检索系统中最著名的一种，其中以生命科学及医学、化学、物理所占比例最大,收录范围是当年国际上的重要期刊,尤其是它的引文索引表现出独特的科学参考价值，在学术界占有重要地位。

时至今日加菲尔德仍是SCI主编之一。

SCI是由ISI（Institute for Scientific Information Inc.）美国科学情报所出版。

现为双月刊。

ISI除了出版SCI外，还有联机型据SCISEARCH。

ISTP （Index to Scientific ＆Technical Proceeding）也由其出版。

SCI是一部国际性的检索刊物，包括有：自然科学、生物、医学、农业、技术和行为科学等，主要侧重基础科学。

所选用的刊物来源于94个类、40多个国家、SO多种文字，这些国家主要有美国、英国、荷兰、德国、俄罗斯、法国、日本、加拿大等，也收录一定数量的中国刊物。

从SCI的严格的选刊原则及严格的专家评审制度来看，它具有一定的客观性，较真实地反映了论文的水平和质量。

根据SCI收录及被引证情况，可以从一个侧面反映学术水平的发展情况。

特别是每年一次的SCI论文排名成了判断一个学校科研水平的一个十分重要的标准。

SCI 以《期刊目次》(Current Content)作为数据源，目前自然科学数据库有五千多种期刊，其中生命科学辑收录1350种；工程与计算机技术辑收录1030种；临床医学辑收990种；农业、生物环境科学辑收录950种；物理、化学和地球科学辑收录900种期刊。

发表快，影响大而且很快就能传播开(2)很牛的结果投杂志可选下面的两个：ACM Transaction on Graphics（图形学所有方向重要的基础结果）IEEE Transaction on V isualization & Computer Graphics（集中在可视化领域）(现在这两个杂志的SCI吸引子很高的，但国内土生土长的研究者，似乎很难发表到这些杂志)(3)V ery goodIEEE Computer Graphics & ApplicationGraphics Model(这两个杂志对国内研究者也比较难的，但在后一个杂志已经有几篇国内研究者的论文)(4)goodThe V isual Computer(国内有一些研究者发)(5)fairJournal of V isualization and Computer Animation（其为SCI核心杂志）Computer Graphics Forum（每年的EUROGRAPH会议论文作为该杂志的一期发表。

1.研究生重要国际学术会议等级拟按学科分为顶级会议（代表本学科领域最高水平的国际会议）、A类会议（代表本学科高水平国际会议）、B类会议（学术水平较高、

会议的类别是确定参加国际会议的学生的资助额度的重要参考依据。

2.表格中的序号次序代表重要性次序。

3.表格中的“权威性文字说明”指的是能说明此会议重要性的事实依据。

4.若表格行数不够请自行增加。

计算机领域国际会议分类排名现在的会议非常多，在投文章前，大家可以先看看会议的权威性、前几届的录用率，这样首先对自己的文章能不能中有个大概的心理底线。

权威与否可以和同行的同学沟通、或者看录用文章的水平、或者自己平时阅读文献的时候的慢慢累及。

原来有人做过一个国际会议的排名，如下.sg/home/assourav/crank.htm其中的很多会议我们都非常熟悉的。

但是这个排名是大概2000的时候做的，后来没有更新，所以像ISWC 这个会议在其中就看不到。

但是很多悠久的会议上面都有的，如www,SIGIR,VLDB,EMLC,ICTAI这些等等。

这些东西可以作为一个参考。

现在很多学校的同学毕业都要有检索的要求了。

因此很多不在SCI，EI检索范围内的会议投了可能对毕业无用，所以投之前最好查查会议是不是被SCI，EI检索的。

当然这也不绝对，如Web领域最权威的WWW的全文就只是ISTP检索，而不是SCI，EI检索的（可能是ACM出版的原因吧？）。
