五年级下册英语作文第9单元试卷全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite SeasonSummer is definitely my favorite season of the year! I love the warm weather, being out of school, and all the fun activities to do. Let me tell you why summer is so awesome.First off, the weather is just perfect in my opinion. Those hot sunny days are the best! I love being able to wear shorts andt-shirts instead of having to bundle up in heavy jackets and coats.I can run around outside and never feel too cold. My friends and I spend so much time playing outdoors in the summer. We have awesome games of basketball, baseball, soccer, you name it. We also go swimming at the neighborhood pool or if we're really lucky, my friend's parents take us to the beach or lake for the day. Splashing around in the cool water is so refreshing when it's blazing hot out. We have water balloon fights and run through the sprinklers too. So much better than being stuck inside after school like in the winter!Another great thing about summer is that we're out of school for a few months! Don't get me wrong, I actually really like school and my classes. But those long breaks are nice to have some free time too. I get to sleep in late instead of having to wake up super early. My days aren't as structured and scheduled out. I can just hang out, relax, and do what I want! That doesn't mean I'm lazy all summer though. I still have to help out with some chores around the house. My mom makes sure I do jobs like taking out the trash, doing dishes, and cleaning my room. But it's not as bad as when I'm also having to juggle homework after school during the year. In the summer, my only real job is fun!I also get to do a lot of cool activities and go on mini vacations with my family. Last summer, we went camping for a week in the mountains. We hiked, went fishing, roasted marshmallows over the campfire, and saw some amazing scenery. This year, we're talking about maybe renting a beach house down in Florida for part of the break. How awesome would that be?Summer is jam-packed with awesome things from start to finish in my opinion. Sure, sometimes it gets a little too hot. And there's always a chance of thunderstorms and humidity. Butthose small downsides are no match for all the perks of this delightful season!Fall is fine too with cooler weather and pretty changing leaves. But it means having to go back to school which is kind of a bummer. Winter has some fun with the holidays and snow. But it's just too freezing and dreary to be outside much. Spring has nice temperatures again but a lot of rain. So summer will always reign supreme for me!Those three months of freedom are what I spend all school year longingly waiting for. They go by so quickly though! Before I know it, summer break is over and I'm being dragged to shop for new school supplies. But at least I have a dream childhood to look back on filled with so many amazing summer memories. What's your favorite season and why? Maybe I'm just biased since I was born in July, smack dab in the middle of summer. But I just can't get enough of this sunshiny, fun-filled time of year. From now until forever, summer will篇2My Busy WeekHi there! My name is Emily and I'm a 5th grader at Oak Hill Elementary School. Last week was a really busy one for me, so I thought I'd write all about the different things I did. Get ready for a long story! On Monday after school, I had basketball practice. I love playing basketball and being part of a team. We did a bunch of dribbling and passing drills to work on our ball-handling skills. Then we scrimmaged for a while, and my team won! I scored 6 points which was really exciting. After practice, my mom picked me up and we went home for dinner. We had tacos which are one of my favorites.Tuesday was a pretty normal day at school, but after classes I had my weekly piano lesson. I've been taking piano for 3 years now. My teacher Mrs. Wilson is really nice but also strict about practicing every day. We worked on learning a new piece by Mozart. It's pretty tricky but I'm getting the hang of it slowly but surely. Maybe I'll be able to play a concert at school someday! On Wednesday, I had indoor soccer practice right after school. We played some fun dribbling games and then did shooting drills. I'm one of the strikers on my team, so scoring goals is my main job. I can really crush it with my left foot! After practice, my dad picked me up and then we went to my littlebrother's baseball game to cheer him on. It was a close game but his team ended up winning 5-4. Go Red Sox!Thursday started out pretty normal with math, reading, science and the usual school subjects. But that evening, I had a big Girl Scout meeting. Our troop is working on our Sewing badge, so we learned how to use a sewing machine properly and started working on little tote bags. I accidentally sewed over my thumb a little which really hurt! But the nurse looked at it and put a bandaid on so I was ok. After the meeting, we stopped for pizza on the way home which was a fun treat. Finally, Friday rolled around which is always my favorite day of the week. School was half a day, so we got out around noon. In the afternoon, I had a play date at my friend Sophia's house. We played jacks, did each other's hair and makeup (just for fun), and watched a movie together. For dinner, Sophia's mom made us heart-shaped pepperoni pizzas which were so yummy!Saturday morning, I had my weekly soccer game bright and early at 9am. The weather was perfect - sunny and about 75 degrees. My team won 4-2 and I scored 2 goals! Afterward, we celebrated by going out for pancakes. Then in the afternoon, I just hung out around the house and played outside with my brother for a while. On Sunday, I went to church with my family in the morning. Then we had a big family cookout at my grandparent's house to celebrate my cousin's birthday. I spent most of the afternoon playing frisbee and cornhole with my cousins and other relatives. For the cookout, we had hamburgers, hotdogs, baked beans, corn on the cob, and mmmm my favorite strawberry shortcake for dessert!Phew, that really was a jam-packed week! Between all my after-school activities, time with friends and family, it felt like I was constantly on the go. But I love staying busy and being involved in so many fun things. This week will probably be just as hectic, but that's just how I like it. Thanks for reading all about my adventures!篇3My Favorite Unit So Far - Unit 9!Hi there! My name is Emma and I'm a 5th grader. I've been learning English in school since 1st grade and even though it's not always easy, I really enjoy it. My favorite unit so far this year has definitely been Unit 9 in our textbook. Let me tell you all about it!Unit 9 was all about food, cooking, and restaurant vocabulary. I thought it was such a fun and interesting topic. We learned the names of tons of different foods like fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products, grains, and more. Some of the new words were really tricky to pronounce at first, like bruschetta, quinoa, and crudités. But my teacher had us practice them over and over until we got them right. My favorite new words were probably beef bourguignon (it's a French beef stew), sashimi (fresh raw fish), and macaron (the French dessert, not macaroon the coconut cookie). I love trying new and different foods, so learning all those names was awesome. We also learned vocabulary for describing tastes and flavors, like savory, tangy, pungent, and more. Now I sound so sophisticated when I talk about what I'm eating! In the unit, we read some really cool stories and articles too. One was about a family that opened up their own restaurant after the dad lost his job. Another was a how-to guide for making your own fresh pasta from scratch. My favorite was probably the fantasy story about a magical bakery where whatever treat you dreamed of, it would appear in the display case the next morning! The stories and articles helped me learn lots of great vocabulary in context. We also did some fun activities and projects related to cooking and food. One time, we had to research and write reports about the cuisines of different countries around the world. I picked Italy because I love pizza and pasta. Another time, we did a "restaurant role play" where we set up the classroom like a restaurant, some people were servers, some were hosts, some were chefs, and the rest were customers ordering food. It was chaos but so entertaining! The best part was when we actually got to do some real cooking and baking during our Unit 9 lessons. We made simple things like quesadillas, smoothies, and veggie snack bags. But we also tried our hand at trickier recipes like homemade bread, vegetable stir fry, and baked apples with yogurt parfaits for dessert. Getting hands-on experience really helped solidify all the vocabulary.I also loved that in this unit, we got to use our English in practical, real-world ways, like learning how to read nutrition labels and menus. Now when my family goes out to eat, I can help them order by reading the descriptions on the menu. My parents were really impressed! We did skits and role plays where we pretended to order at a restaurant too.By the end of Unit 9, I felt like I had learned so much new, amazing vocabulary about one of my favorite topics - food! I'm much more confident talking about what I like and dislike to eat, describing flavors, and using names of specific dishes. My English skills have really grown leaps and bounds from this unit. What's really cool though is that the learning didn't stop when we finished Unit 9 and moved on to the next one. Now whenever we go over grammar concepts like frequency adverbs or giving suggestions and recommendations, the examples we use are often related to food topics to reinforce what we learned. So I'm constantly reviewing and applying that knowledge in new ways.I also started my own little "cooking club" for kids after school where we get together and practice our English while trying new recipes. My friends and I love combining our language learning with something fun and tasty! Sometimes we even invite our parents to join.Overall, Unit 9 on food and cooking was definitely my favorite so far this year. I'm already excited to take what I learned into the next grade and units about other engaging, real-life topics. Learning English is so much more motivating when it'sabout things I'm genuinely interested in beyond just following a textbook. Bring on 6th grade!篇4My Favorite Units This YearMy name is Lisa and I'm a 5th grade student at Maple Grove Elementary School. This year has been really fun in English class! We've learned so many new words, expressions, and grammar points. My favorite units so far have been Unit 6 about hobbies and free time activities, and Unit 9 which was all about food, eating healthy, and giving instructions.Unit 6 - Hobbies and Free TimeIn Unit 6, we learned vocabulary words related to different hobbies like swimming, painting, reading, and playing sports. We practiced using phrases like "I'm good at..." and "I enjoy..." to talk about the activities we like doing in our free time. One of my favorite parts was when we did a fun class survey to find out what the most and least popular hobbies were for students in our class. It turned out that the top three hobbies were playing video games, reading books, and riding bikes. The least popular wasstamp collecting - only one person said they enjoyed that hobby! After the survey, we got into small groups and created posters showing the results with bar graphs and pie charts. It was a great way to practice our graphing skills along with our English conversation abilities. At the end of the unit, we had to give a short presentation about our favorite hobby. I talked about how I love reading fantasy and adventure novels. I brought in my favorite book series and some illustrations I had drawn of the main characters. Preparing for that presentation really helped build my confidence for public speaking in English.Unit 9 - Healthy Eating and CookingUnit 9 has definitely been one of the highlights of this school year so far! The whole unit was focused on food, nutrition, and following instructions to make healthy recipes. We started off by learning lots of new vocabulary for different foods like grains, proteins, fruits, and vegetables. I'll never forget how to say "whole wheat pasta" or "Greek yogurt" now! Then we learned about the different food groups and what a balanced diet looks like. Our teacher showed us the USDA's MyPlate model and we had to create our own balanced meal designs using cut-outs of different foods. I made mine look like amonster's face using broccoli florets for hair and a slice of whole wheat bread as the mouth! After learning about healthy eating, we moved on to learning language for giving instructions. We practiced using imperative sentences with instructional verbs like "mix," "chop," "bake," and "sauté." We read through a few recipes and identified phrases like "first," "next," "then," and "finally" that helped signal the order of steps. The most exciting part was when we got to practice giving instructions in the classroom kitchen! We split up into small groups and each team had to follow a recipe to make either a healthy trail mix, veggie mini-pizzas, or fruit salad. It was so much fun getting to work together, follow the steps, and then get to eat our creations at the end! My group made the trail mix and I was in charge of instructing everyone on how to measure and mix the dry ingredients. Finally, as a whole class we created our very own "Maple Grove Elementary Healthy Snacks" cookbook. Each student had to write up one recipe, including the ingredients list,step-by-step instructions, and a photo or illustration. We bound all the recipes together into a book that we can take home and share with our families. My recipe was for no-bake energy bites made with oats, peanut butter, honey, and mixed seeds and dried fruits. I worked really hard on writing clear instructions that were easy to follow. I also drew a picture to go along with it showing what the energy bites should look like. I'm so proud of our whole class for the awesome cookbook we put together! This has definitely been one of my favorite years of English class so far. Units 6 and 9 really allowed me to learn so many useful vocabulary words and grammar concepts - all while having fun talking about my hobbies and interests, as well as learning about nutrition and cooking. I feel much more confident in my English skills now, especially when it comes to giving presentations, following instructions, and working as a team. I can't wait to see what else we'll get to learn and do in the remaining units this year!篇5My Favorite Season is SpringSpring is my favorite season of the year! After the cold and gloomy winter months, everything starts to come alive again as the warm sunshine returns. The days get longer, thetemperatures rise, and nature awakens with vibrant colors and new life all around us.One of the best things about spring is watching the trees and flowers bloom. In early spring, the bare branches start to sprout tiny buds that eventually unfurl into fresh green leaves. It's like the trees are waking up from a long winter's nap! Then come the beautiful blooms – my favorites are the pink cherry blossoms and the bright yellow daffodils. Their colors are so cheerful and make me smile.Another amazing thing about springtime is seeing all the baby animals being born. Tiny lambs frolicking in the fields, fuzzy yellow chicks pecking around the farm, and roly-poly bear cubs playing in the forest – they're all so cute! My best friend's family has a farm, and every year we get to see the new calves, piglets, and foals. Watching the mamas caring for their babies is really special. One of my family's traditions is going on a nature hike in early spring to look for the first wildflowers peeking out. We pack a lunch and water bottles, lace up our hiking boots, and spend a few hours exploring the woods and meadows near our house. It's amazing how many different kinds of tiny flowers we can find –violets, trilliums, spring beauties, and more. We always come home with bunches of them to put in vases around the house.Another thing I love is listening to the birds singing their cheerful springtime melodies in the early morning. Their sweet chirps and trills are nature's alarm clock, waking me up to bright sunshine streaming through my bedroom window. It's such a happy sound compared to the silent winter mornings. At school, we get to do lots of fun spring-themed activities and projects too. We learn about plant life cycles by growing beans in plastic baggies. We go on nature walks and try to identify different types of trees, flowers, insects, and animal tracks. In art class, we paint colorful spring scenes and make tissue paper flowers. For Earth Day, we pick up litter around the school grounds and learn ways to protect our environment. As winter fades away and spring bursts forth, I'm filled with a sense of renewal and boundless energy. The world feels fresh and full of possibilities! While all the seasons are beautiful in their own ways, spring will always be my favorite. From the blossoming flowers to the baby animals to the warm sunshine and opportunities for outdoor adventures, it's simply the most wonderful time of the year. I can't wait for spring to arrive again!篇6My Unforgettable Summer VacationSummer vacation is always the best time of the year for me! No more waking up early, no more homework, and no more boring classes. Just three months of pure fun and freedom! This summer, my family and I went on an amazing trip to the beach. We stayed in a cute little beach house right by the ocean. Every morning, I would wake up to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The first thing I did every day was run outside and feel the warm sand between my toes. The beach was never too crowded, so I had plenty of space to build the most incredible sandcastles.I would spend hours carefully sculpting towers, bridges, and moats. My little sister would always try to help, but she would end up knocking everything down. I didn't mind though, it just gave me an excuse to start all over again.Once the sandcastles were finished, my dad would take us boogie boarding. At first, I was a little scared of the big waves, but after a few tries, I got the hang of it. It was so much fun riding the waves and feeling the cool water splash against my face.Sometimes, my mom would join us, but she preferred to just relax on the beach with a good book.In the afternoons, we would explore the little beach town. There were so many cute shops and restaurants to check out. My favorite place was the ice cream parlor. They had the most amazing flavors like cotton candy, birthday cake, and even bacon!I would always get at least two scoops in a waffle cone.On some days, we would go on little adventures. We went hiking in the nearby hills and saw some beautiful waterfalls. We also went on a boat tour and spotted some dolphins swimming alongside us. It was so magical! The best part of the trip, though, was the night sky. Since there weren't any big city lights, the stars shone so bright. My dad taught me how to find different constellations like the Big Dipper and Orion's Belt. We would lay out on the beach and just gaze up at the twinkling stars for hours. One night, we even saw a meteor shower! It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. Hundreds of shooting stars streaked across the sky, leaving behind glittering trails. I made so many wishes that night, but honestly, I didn't need to. This trip was already a dream come true.As the summer came to an end, I was sad to leave the beach behind. But I knew I would always have the memories of this unforgettable vacation. I can't wait to go back next year and make even more amazing memories with my family.。
