Unit 2I'll help to clean up the city parks.第一课时Section A(1a~2d)1.lonely的与alone辨析(1)lonely作形容词,意为“寂寞的”,侧重于主观上感到孤独、寂寞,有较浓的感情色彩,在句中作表语或定语。
作定语修饰表示地点的名词时,意为“荒凉的;偏僻的”。
如:He has a lonely life with few friends.他生活孤独,朋友很少。
(2)alone作形容词,意为“单独的;独自的”,强调独自一人,表示客观情况,常位于系动词后作表语。
alone 还可用作副词,意为“单独;独自”,修饰动词时,放在动词后面作状语。
