The Power of Perseverance: Overcoming Challenges and Achieving SuccessIn the journey of life, we are constantly faced with various challenges and obstacles that test our resolve and perseverance. It is these challenges that shape our character and determine our success. The power of perseverance is essential in overcoming these difficulties and achieving our goals. This essay will explore the significance of perseverance, illustrate its impact through examples, and argue for its role in personal and professional development.Firstly, perseverance is the key to overcoming challenges. Life is filled with obstacles and setbacks, but it is perseverance that helps us to push through these difficult times. When we encounter a challenge, it is easy to become discouraged and give up. However, perseverance allows us to persevere despite the difficulties and to keep moving forward. For example, a student who perseveres in their studies despite the challenges of a difficult subject is more likely to achieve success in their academic career. Similarly, an entrepreneur who perseveres in their businessdespite initial failures is more likely to succeed in the long run.Secondly, perseverance helps us to develop resilience and adaptability. In the face of adversity, perseverance enables us to bounce back and learn from our mistakes. We become more resilient and adaptable, able to handle future challenges more effectively. This resilience and adaptability are crucial for personal and professional growth. In the workplace, for instance, perseverance helps employees to overcome challenges and adapt to changing environments, thereby contributing to the overall success of the organization. Moreover, perseverance fosters a growth mindset, which is essential for achieving success. A growth mindset is the belief that our abilities and talents can be developed and improved through effort and persistence. When we persevere in the face of challenges, we adopt a growth mindset and believe that we can overcome any obstacle. This mindset leads to a continuous cycle of learning and improvement, enabling us to achieve our goals and dreams. In conclusion, the power of perseverance is invaluablein overcoming challenges and achieving success. It is the key to overcoming difficulties, developing resilience and adaptability, and fostering a growth mindset. Through perseverance, we can transform our challenges into opportunities for growth and success. Whether it is in our personal lives or professional careers, perseveranceremains a critical factor in determining our success. Letus embrace the power of perseverance and use it to overcome the challenges that lie ahead, achieving our goals and dreams.**毅力的力量:克服困难,实现成功**在人生的旅途中,我们不断面临着各种挑战和障碍,这些挑战考验着我们的决心和毅力。
英语专四考试2018年作文范文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Big Exam AdventureLast year, I had to take a really important test called the CET-4. It stands for College English Test Band 4. I'm just a kid in elementary school, so I'm not really sure why I had to take a college exam! But my parents said it was super important for my future. At first, I wasn't too worried about it. I thought "How hard can an English test be? I can speak and read English pretty well already." Boy, was I wrong! The CET-4 was no joke.My parents hired a special tutor to help me prepare. Ms. Wang came over twice a week to drill me on vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and listening skills. She was really strict but also really nice when I understood something well. The vocabulary was the hardest part for me. There were so many big words I had never heard before! Words like "ubiquitous" and "tenacious." I thought those sounded more likedinosaur names than English words. Ms. Wang made me make flashcards for each new word and then quiz me over and over. It felt like torture at the time, but I'm glad she pushed me so hard.篇2My Big Adventure Taking the CET-4 Exam!Hi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 10-year-old 5th grader. I love reading, writing stories, and learning new things, especially about other languages and cultures. I even taught myself some Spanish by watching videos online!A few months ago, my English teacher Mr. Davis篇3My Wonderful Journey to the MoonHello everyone! My name is Amy, and I want to tell you about my amazing journey to the moon. It was the most exciting adventure I have ever had!One sunny day, my classmates and I went on a school trip to the space center. We were all very excited because we were going to learn about space and even see a real rocket! The rocket was huge and shiny, just like a giant silver bullet. After we finished our tour of the space center, the scientists surprised us by saying that we could take a trip to the moon! Can you believe it? I was jumping up and down with joy! The scientists told us that we would be the first group of kids to visit the moon. Wow!We put on special suits that made us look like real astronauts. They were white and had lots of buttons and zippers.I felt like a superhero! Then we climbed inside a small spaceship. It was cozy but had all the things we needed for our journey."3... 2... 1... Blast off!" shouted the astronaut in command. The spaceship shook and rumbled, and suddenly we were flying up into the sky. It was so fast that my tummy tickled! As we traveled through space, I looked out of the window and saw millions of stars. They were twinkling like diamonds in the dark sky. It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen. I couldn't stop smiling! After a while, we reached the moon. It looked like a big gray ball covered in dust. We landed gently, and when the door opened, I took my first step on the moon's surface. It felt so strange, like walking on a bouncy trampoline! We explored the moon and collected moon rocks. They were smooth and shiny, and some of them even sparkled. I put them in a special bag to bring back to Earth. I couldn't wait to show them to my friends! We also saw the footprints of the astronauts who came before us. It was amazing to think that humans had actually been here before. I felt like I was a part of history! After a while, it was time to go back home. I was a little sad to leave the moon, but I knew that I would never forget this incredible journey. We got back into the spaceship and flew back to Earth. The landing was a bit bumpy, but we were all safe and sound. When we returned to school, everyone was waiting for us. We showed them the moon rocks and told them all about our adventure. They were amazed and asked lots of questions. I felt like a real space explorer! In the end, my journey to the moon was the most exciting thing I have ever done. It made me realize that the universe is a big and wonderful place. Who knows, maybe one day I will become a real astronaut and explore even more distant planets. Until then, I will cherish the memories of my trip to the moon forever. That's the end of my story. Thank you for listening! Dream big and reach for the stars – you never know where your own wonderful journey might take you! ✨篇4My Big Book ReportHi everybody! My name is Lily and I'm in fifth grade. My teacher Mrs. Robinson asked us all to write a big book report for our English class. I picked the book "Charlotte's Web" by E.B. White. It's a really famous book about a pig named Wilbur who gets saved by a super cool spider named Charlotte. Here's my book report all about it!The story starts on a farm. There's an old sheep named Louise who has a lamb named Wilbur. But Wilbur isn't just any old pig—he's a special little pig who loves life. One day, the farmer Mr. Arable comes and tells Wilbur he's going to be killed and turned into smoked bacon and ham! Can you imagine? Poor Wilbur gets so scared.Luckily, Wilbur's friend Fern (who is an 8-year-old girl) begs her dad not to kill Wilbur. So Mr. Arable lets Fern take care of Wilbur and he grows up safe in the family's barn. When Wilburgets bigger though, he has to go live in Uncle Homer's farm with all the other animals like sheep, geese, and cows.At first, Wilbur feels really lonely at the new farm without any friends. But then one night, he meets a spider named Charlotte. Charlotte is no ordinary spider—she can read and write words in her web! She decides to use her web to try and save Wilbur's life by writing cool words that make Wilbur look amazing.Charlotte writes the word "TERRIFIC" in her web one morning. All the people on the farm are so shocked and think Wilbur must be some terrific pig if the words showed up in the web! Then a little later, Charlotte writes "RADIANT" to describe Wilbur. The people are even more amazed this time. Wilbur starts to get really popular because of Charlotte's cool words in the web. Everybody loves him! After that, Charlotte writes "HUMBLE" which makes the people love Wilbur even more for being so terrific yet humble too. Nobody knows it's just Charlotte the spider behind all the mysterious words showing up every day.Things keep going well until the summer ends. That's when Charlotte has to explain the hard truth to Wilbur—she's going todie since her egg sac is hatching with her children soon. Wilbur gets super sad at the thought of losing his best friend. But Charlotte promises her children will take care of Wilbur after she's gone. Sure enough, after Charlotte unfortunately dies, her children (all 514 of them!) weave words of encouragement and praise into their webs to make people keep loving Wilbur. At the very end, Wilbur even gets awarded a prize at a fair for being such an amazing radiant, terrific, and humble pig. All thanks to Charlotte's web of words that protected and made sure Wilbur wouldn't be killed!I absolutely loved Charlotte's Web! It's such a sweet story about true friendship. Charlotte the spider used her smarts and talents to help save her friend's life in a really creative way that touched so many people.I think one big lesson in the book is that true friends will do anything to stick up and protect each other through hard times. Charlotte and Wilbur's friendship was so strong even though they were two totally different animals. Their love for each other was unconditional.Another lesson I took away is that we should appreciate people (and animals!) for their inner qualities andspecialness—not just judging them on the outside. At first the people thought Wilbur was just an ordinary pig only good for bacon. But Charlotte's web made them see what an incredibly terrific, radiant, and humble soul Wilbur truly was. We shouldn't underestimate anyone! My favorite part was probably when Charlotte first started writing words in her web and the people were so shocked and amazed. I wonder what that must have felt like to suddenly discover this spider could spin genius phrases and words out of her silk! I bet they thought they were going insane at first.I also really liked how the story focused on the power of language and words. Just a few basic words in a web totally changed Wilbur's destiny and fate just by making people view him in a positive new light. It shows how persuasive and influential the choice of words can be—something as small as a little spider web message could sway people's entire opinion on whether to save a pig's life or not.Overall, I absolutely loved this book and think it deserves five out of five stars! The mix of humor, lovable characters, beautiful writing, and impactful themes makes it an instant kids' classic in my mind. I can totally see why this story has been sopopular and beloved since it first came out over 60 years ago in 1952.It's books like this that really inspire me to work hard on my own reading, writing, and language skills. Maybe I'll grow up to write an amazing award-winning book that touches people's hearts and lives forever—just like the brilliant E.B. White did with "Charlotte's Web."Anyways, that's my book report! I hope you all pick up a copy and give this heart-warming tale a read sometime. It's perfect for kids but even adults can learn a lot from its lessons on friendship, acceptance, and using words to change the world for the better. Thanks for reading my essay!篇5My Super Awesome Summer Vacation!Hi everyone! My name is Timmy and I just had the best summer vacation ever! I went on so many fun adventures and did a bunch of really cool stuff. I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started on the last day of school. I was so excited because my parents promised me we were going to go on a big trip during the summer. They didn't tell me where we were goingthough, it was gonna be a surprise! I could barely sit still in class thinking about all the amazing places we might visit. Finally, the last bell rang and summer officially started! My mom picked me up and when I got in the car, she told me to close my eyes. When I opened them again, we were at the airport!I knew right away we must be going somewhere really far away and exciting. I started jumping up and down, I was so happy. After we got through security and everything, we finally got on the airplane. I had never been on a real plane before, so I was a little nervous at first. But it was actually really cool! I got my own little TV and snacks and everything. The best part was when we took off and started flying up into the clouds. It felt like I was in a rocket ship blasting off into space! The flight took forever, but I didn't mind too much because I just stared out the window the whole time, watching the pretty clouds and looking down at all the tiny houses and cars far below us. It was like being a giant looking down on a little miniature world! I also played some games on the TV and had a fun time. Finally, after what felt like days and days, the pilot said we would be landing soon. I looked out the window and saw the most beautiful place I had ever seen in my whole life - agorgeous tropical island with bright blue water, sandy beaches, and tons of palm trees. I could hardly believe my eyes!"Mom, are we in Hawaii?!" I shouted. She laughed and said, "No Timmy, this is an island in the Caribbean called Jamaica. Get ready for the most amazing adventure!"As soon as we landed and got off the plane, I was hit by a wave of hot, humid air. It felt like stepping into a sauna! The airport itself was really small and open-air. We grabbed our bags and headed outside to wait for our ride to the resort. The very first thing I noticed were all the incredible smells. It was like something delicious was cooking everywhere you went. There were also lots of brightly colored buildings and vehicles going by, very different from back home. And towering above everything were swaying palm trees as far as the eye could see. I just wanted to take it all in.Finally, our shuttle arrived to take us to the beach resort my parents had booked for us to stay at. It was only about a 30 minute drive, but I couldn't believe the scenery we passed along the way. Little colorful houses and huts dotted the lush green hillsides. People were walking, riding bikes or horses, andhanging out on their porches, seemingly without a care in the world. It looked like a totally different world from the one I knew. When we arrived at the resort, my jaw just dropped. It was the most beautiful, tropical paradise I had ever seen. Everything was open-air, with thatched roofs and wooden walkways crisscrossing between buildings. And right in the middle was the biggest pool I've ever seen, complete with a waterfall andswim-up bar (just a juice bar for kids like me though!)But even better than the pool was the fact that the resort was right on one of the most gorgeous beaches imaginable. The water was so incredibly blue and crystal clear. And the sand was like a warm, white carpet as far as you could see in both directions. There were even little tiki huts set up on the beach if you wanted some shade. I had never seen anything quite like it before. As soon as we dropped our stuff off in our amazing beachfront villa, I ran straight for the ocean. I had been waiting my whole life to finally go swimming in water that looked like a tropical paradise! The second my toes hit the warm, gentle waves, I knew this was going to be the best vacation ever.Over the next week, we did so much fun stuff that I can't even remember it all. We went snorkeling and saw incrediblycolorful fish and coral. We took a glass-bottom boat tour and saw shipwrecks and huge sea turtles. We went hiking through the jungle and saw all sorts of crazy birds and plants. We also explored caves and went tubing down a beautiful river. But most of the time, we just relaxed and played at the incredible beach. I probably spent more time in the ocean than I did out of it! I worked on my tan, buried my dad in the sand, and drank about a million coconut drinks with those cute little umbrellas in them. It was absolute heaven for a kid like me.One of the highlights was going into town and exploring the local markets. The sights, sounds and smells were just unbelievable. There were stalls selling fresh fruits I had never seen before, handmade crafts and clothes with the brightest colors you can imagine, and delicious local foods cooking right out in the open. I tried so many new and exciting things like jerk chicken, fried plantains, fresh sugar cane juice, and more. The town itself was such a stark contrast from the fancy beach resorts. The buildings were older and more rundown, with people's laundry hanging to dry and stray dogs roaming the streets. But it had such an infectious energy and spirit that I loved experiencing. People were playing music, dancing, laughing together on their porches. It felt so vibrant and alive.Whenever my parents would try to get me to leave and go back to the resort, I would beg them to stay just a little longer so I could keep soaking in all the new sights and sounds. I didn't want to miss a single thing. One of my biggest regrets is that I didn't have a chance to go to a local school and make friends with the kids from Jamaica. That could have been a really cool experience. Before I knew it, our week in paradise was up and it was time to head back home. I was so incredibly sad to leave but also so grateful that I had the chance to experience such an amazing place. The memories of swimming in that bright blue ocean, hiking through the jungle, and exploring the busy towns will stick with me forever. As we took off on the airplane and I watched the island fade into the distance, I made a vow to myself that I would find a way to go back to the Caribbean again someday. In fact, I decided right then and there that my dream is to travel the world and experience as many new cultures and adventures as I possibly can. There's just so much amazing stuff to see and do out there!Well, that's the story of my super awesome summer vacation to Jamaica. Between you and me, I'm already bugging my parents about where we're going next year for summer break. Ican't wait to share more travel stories with you all soon! Thanks for reading, friends!篇6My Favorite AnimalHello everyone! Today I want to tell you about my favorite animal. It's the dolphin! Dolphins are amazing creatures that live in the ocean. They are super smart and friendly. I love them so much!First of all, dolphins are very smart. Did you know that they are one of the smartest animals in the world? They can learn tricks and even communicate with humans. I saw a video where dolphins were playing basketball with their trainers. It was so cool! I wish I could play basketball with dolphins too.Secondly, dolphins are really friendly. They always seem to be smiling, and they love to play with each other. I once went to an aquarium and saw dolphins swimming together and jumping out of the water. It looked like they were having so much fun! I wish I could swim and play with dolphins too.Another reason why I love dolphins is because they are very graceful. When they swim, they move so smoothly through thewater. It's like they are dancing! I wish I could swim like a dolphin and be as graceful as them.Dolphins also have a special ability called echolocation. They use sound waves to find things in the ocean, even if it's dark or murky. It's like they have their own built-in GPS! I think that's really cool and useful. In conclusion, dolphins are my favorite animal because they are smart, friendly, graceful, and have amazing abilities like echolocation. I hope one day I can see dolphins up close and maybe even swim with them. They are such incredible creatures! That's all for my essay. I hope you enjoyed learning about dolphins with me. Thank you for listening!。

1、关于大学生的兼职/课余时间◆题目要求Directions: For this part, you are allowed 30 minutes to write a short essay. You should start your essay with a brief description of the picture and then express your views on college students’ taking part-time jobs. You should write at least 120 words but no more than 180 words.◆精品范文与分析[1]The picture depicts that a teenage boy is looking for a part-time job in a fast food restaurant and the good news is he may get one Like this boy, nowadays many college students in China are taking part-time jobs.[2]As I see it, there are both benefits and drawbacks for college students’ taking parttime jobs. On the one hand, in addition to getting an income, college students taking parttime jobs may enjoy a more exciting lifestyle as they can meet people from all walks of life and develop a sense of responsibility which can’t be learned in the classroom. On the other hand, students who take part-time jobs may have less time focusing on study, and if they seek to excel in both the part-time job and study, the busy life they lead may put their health at risk.[3]In my opinion, college students ought to strike a balance between academic study and part-time jobs. And always bear in mind that a student s priority is to acquire knowledge at school.◆全文翻译图中描绘了这样一个场景:一名少年正在一间快餐店找兼职,而好消息是他很有可能得到一份兼职工作。
四级预测作⽂文(2018下)(⼀一)Directions:For this part, you are allowed30minutes to write a short essay.Y ou should start your essay with a brief description of the picture and then express your view on Whether universities should make it especially easy to people from rural areas.Y ou should write at least120words but no more than180words.Universities Should Make it Especially Easy to People from Rural AreasIt is a common sense that students from rural communities have less access to higher education. Some suggest that the problem should be solved by guaranteeing more chances for rural students through slightly lowering standards for enrolling them into universities. From my perspective,I am in favour of the above statement. The picture depicts many students are rushing into universities with students from rural areas lagging behind. It reveals profoundly the urgency for our universities to take effective measures to make it especially easy to people from rural areas.According to the statistics, the proportion of university students from rural areas has been decreasing year by year,as students from rural areas cannot go to universities for various reasons.First, the distribution of educational resources is unbalanced between rural and urban areas.Excellent teachers,well-equipped and modern facilities in urban areas are far more available than that of rural areas. In addition, educational loans for poor students are far from enough. To reverse this situation,we should take the following effective measures.First, the government should spend more money on education, giving priority to rural schools in the allocation of educational resources.Second, universities should take measures to slightly lower the entrance examination scores for students from rural st but certainly not least, the government and universities should provide various financial aids to the students,to ensure students from poor families not to drop out of college because of the high tuition and living expenses.点评:当前,在⾼高校中,农村⼤大学⽣生所占的⽐比例例⽇日益下降,这已经引起了了全社会的关注。
思想上的巨人,行动上的矮子作文英文回答:The adage "a giant in thought but a dwarf in action" encapsulates the dichotomy between lofty ideals and a lackof practical implementation. While individuals may possess brilliant ideas and grand visions, they often struggle to translate them into tangible outcomes. This disconnectstems from various factors, including fear, procrastination, and a lack of discipline.Overcoming this impediment requires conscious effort. Embracing a growth mindset, setting realistic goals, and breaking down large projects into smaller steps can help individuals move from contemplation to execution. Additionally, seeking mentors, collaborating with others, and holding oneself accountable can provide the necessary support and motivation.By bridging the gap between thought and action, individuals can unlock their full potential and make a meaningful impact on the world. History is replete with examples of individuals who translated their dreams into reality, leaving an enduring legacy. From inventors like Thomas Edison to social reformers like Mahatma Gandhi, they demonstrated that thought, when coupled with action, can transform aspirations into enduring accomplishments.中文回答:“思想上的巨人,行动上的矮子”这一谚语揭示了崇高理想与实际执行之间的矛盾。

2018专四作文范文英文回答:Examining the multifaceted relationship between humans and technology, one cannot help but ponder the myriad waysin which technology has transformed our lives. While technological advancements have undoubtedly brought countless benefits, they have also posed significant challenges that demand our attention. One of the most profound impacts of technology has been its ability to enhance communication and connectivity. The advent of the internet, social media, and mobile deviceshas bridged geographical barriers and facilitated seamless communication between individuals and communities worldwide. This enhanced connectivity has fostered a sense of global interconnectedness, enabling people to share ideas, collaborate on projects, and stay informed about important events in real-time.Moreover, technology has revolutionized the way we learn and access knowledge. Online learning platforms, virtual libraries, and educational software have democratized education, providing individuals with unprecedented opportunities to pursue higher education and acquire new skills. The proliferation of information on the internet has also made it easier for people to stay up-to-date on current affairs, expand their knowledge, and engage in intellectual discourse. However, alongside these benefits, technology has also presented some notable challenges that require careful consideration. One such challenge is the potential for addiction and overuse. The constant bombardment of notifications, social media updates, and endless entertainment options can lead to compulsive behaviors and a decreased ability to focus on other aspects of life. This excessive use of technology can have detrimental effects on mental health, sleep patterns, and relationships.Another concern is the issue of privacy and data security. As we increasingly rely on technology to conductour daily lives, we generate vast amounts of personal data that may be vulnerable to misuse or exploitation. The proliferation of data breaches and identity theft has raised serious concerns about the protection of our privacy and the potential consequences of having our personal information compromised.Additionally, technology has exacerbated existingsocial inequalities. While some individuals have the resources and skills to harness the benefits of technology, others may be left behind due to lack of access or digital literacy. This digital divide can perpetuate socioeconomic disparities and limit opportunities for those who are not digitally connected. To mitigate the potential negative consequences of technology, it is imperative that we adopt a balanced and responsible approach to its use. This involves setting limits on our screen time, engaging in regular digital detoxes, and being mindful of the privacy implications of sharing personal information online. Furthermore, it is essential to promote digital literacy and ensure thateveryone has access to the tools and knowledge they need to navigate the digital landscape safely and effectively.By embracing a nuanced understanding of therelationship between humans and technology, we can harness its transformative potential while mitigating its potential risks. By striking a balance between innovation andsocietal well-being, we can create a future wheretechnology serves as a catalyst for progress, empowerment, and inclusivity.中文回答:我们与科技之间的关系错综复杂,人们不禁思考科技以无数种方式改变了我们的生活。

英文回答:There is a high degree of intellectual insight and scope, but there is some hesitation and hesitation in action, what we call the intellectual giant, the operational dwarf。
Such people may exist at all levels of our lives, perhaps our colleagues, friends and even ourselves。
Ideological excellence does not mean that they must have a high level of thought, nor doesthe smallness of action mean that they lack the capacity to act。
I believe that the impact of the environment and opportunities,in addition to the factors of personal qualities, is crucial to a person ' s intellectual and operational height。
In thinking about this issue, we need to take fully into account the circumstances in which individuals grow and develop in a given environment, as well as the impact of policies and institutions on individual growth and development。
思想上的巨人,行动上的矮子作文英文回答:I have always been fascinated by the concept of a "mental giant" and a "physical dwarf." It refers to someone who possesses great intellectual abilities and ideas, but fails to put them into action effectively. In my opinion, this is a common phenomenon that can be observed in various aspects of life. One example of a "mental giant" and a "physical dwarf" can be seen in the world of academia. There are many brilliant scholars and researchers who have groundbreaking ideas and theories, but struggle to communicate them effectively or lack the motivation to implement them in practical ways. They may spend years conducting research and publishing papers, but fail to make a significant impact on society.Another example can be found in the business world. There are entrepreneurs who come up with innovative ideas and have a deep understanding of market trends, but lackthe necessary skills or resources to turn their ideas into successful ventures. They may have brilliant business plans, but fail to execute them effectively or face challenges in managing their teams and operations. In addition, the concept of a "mental giant" and a "physical dwarf" can also be applied to personal development. There are individuals who have greataspirations and dreams, but lack the determination or discipline to take consistent action towards achievingtheir goals. They may have a clear vision of what they want to accomplish, but fail to develop the necessary habits or overcome obstacles that stand in their way.中文回答:在我看来,“思想上的巨人,行动上的矮子”是一个常见的现象,可以在生活的各个方面观察到。
2018专四英语作文范文It was a hot summer day, and I was feeling restless. I decided to take a walk in the park to clear my mind. As I strolled along the winding path, I couldn't help but notice the vibrant colors of the flowers and the sound of birds chirping in the trees.Suddenly, I came across a group of children playing in the playground. Their laughter and energy were infectious, and I found myself smiling as I watched them. It was a simple reminder of the joy and innocence of childhood.Continuing my walk, I spotted an elderly couple sitting on a bench, holding hands and enjoying the serenity of the park. It was a beautiful sight that filled my heart with warmth. It made me realize the importance of cherishing the moments we have with our loved ones.As I made my way back home, I felt a sense of peace and contentment. The time spent in the park had allowed me toappreciate the beauty of nature and the simple pleasures of life. It was a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.Overall, my walk in the park was a refreshing and rejuvenating experience. It reminded me to slow down and take the time to enjoy the little things that often go unnoticed. I returned home with a renewed sense ofgratitude and a lighter spirit.。

2018年专四写作范文一Decline in MoralsIn modern society, the decline in morals is becoming more and more severe. For example, there have been a few cases in which a senior woman pretended to have fallen over and then blackmailed the person who tried to help her. There was also another case where a little girl was hit by a car and no passers-by gave her a hand.To solve this problem, we need first to find out the reasons. For one, the fast pace of modern society is driving people apart from each other, thus people are losing the patience to care for others. For another, with technology de veloping, it’s much easier for people to know what is happening in the world today. In order to draw people’s attention, somemedia would lay stress on negative news and overemphasize the negative effects. To reestablish social morals, we must work together. People should learn to care for the others, while the media should treat negative news more properly.2018年专四写作范文二Killing Time IndoorsNowadays a growing number of people, especially the 20s or 30s, tend to stay indoors for most of their spare time, especially on holidays. Some spend the majority of the time online chatting, blogging, shopping, dating or playing computer games. Some sit with their eyes glued to the television screen, day and night.People’s opinions vary when it comes t o this way of killing time. A great number of people maintainthat staying indoors is cheap, comfortable, and most importantly, very safe. Others, however, frown upon staying indoors for too long. They are worried that lack of physical exercise and face-to-face communication with others will do harm to people’s body and mind.Personally, I don’t think staying indoors for most of the day should be advocated. Instead, people in all ages, their physical conditions permitting, should be encouraged to spend more time outdoors. The brilliant sunshine, the pleasant green space, the interactions with other people, etc. are all good for people’s health, both physically and psychologically.2018年专四写作范文三The Way to SuccessThere are many ways to success, such as hard working, passion or good preparations. From Honore De Balzac’s famous remark, “There is no such thing as a great talent without great will power”, we can see that the way to success is having a strong will.A strong will is essential if we want to achieve our goals. Initially, every success involves several stages of setbacks and risks, and we need to summon up our will to overcome them. Moreover, there are enormous temptations in our path of the pursuit of success. Only with a strong will can we resist the temptation, and persist in chasing our goals until we reach them. The long history of human being has also proved that only those with a strong will can achieve successat last. We are all familiar with Thomas Edison’s story that he had tried one thousand kinds of materials before he finally made his great bulb light up. Without a strong will, Edison might have been a nobody. Without a strong will, no one can succeed.
1Intellectual Giants, Behavioral DwarfsHave you ever met someone who just blew you away with their brilliance and depth of knowledge, only to be utterly disappointed by their inability to apply that intelligence to their own life and behavior? I've encountered more than a few of these "intellectual giants, behavioral dwarfs" during my high school years. Sadly, I've even seen traces of this disconnect within myself at times. It's paradoxical really - how can someone possess such incredible mental capacity and reasoning ability, yet struggle to navigate the most basic aspects of everyday existence? How can a person quote complex philosophical theories while failing to grasp simple social cues or make wise personal decisions? The dichotomy is both fascinating and maddening.I've had my share of experiences with students who are academic superstars but personal trainwrecks. There was the kid in my physics class who could derive the most intricate equationswith ease, but lacked any sense of personal hygiene and struggled with basic social interactions. Or the literature geek who could analyze novels at a collegiate level, but seemed incapable of applying any of those insights to their own emotional life which was a rambling incoherent mess. Then there are the teachers and professors who are brilliant in their respective fields of study, renowned experts who have penned textbooks and research papers, yet they makehead-scratching personal choices when it comes to their behavior or relationships. I've seen university lecturers separated from their spouse, struggling with addiction, or lashing out angrily over minor squabbles. Just last year there was the tenured professor arrested for a DUI on campus. It makes you wonder – how can someone be so intelligent and yet so lacking in basic wisdom and judgement when it comes to their own lives? Is the ability to understand complex subject matter completely disconnected from the ability to understand one's self and make sound choices? Are our logical/rational capabilities in a completely separate realm from our behavioral and emotional intelligence?Perhaps it shouldn't be so surprising when you consider how specialized our world has become. Our educational system trainsstudents to become experts in narrow academic disciplines through immense focus and abandonment of other aspects of their personal development. From a young age, the priorities are on relentless study, book knowledge, exam performance, and rigid theoretical frameworks. So it's no wonder students become brilliant technicians while neglecting fundamental human needs for social skills, emotional outlets, work/life balance, and nurturing relationships. They become cerebral workhorses lacking self-awareness, perspective, and holistic personal growth.Or maybe the root issue stems from the fundamental disconnect between our logical rational brains and the more primal emotional/behavioral drivers that have evolved over millennia. Our powerful higher cognitive abilities are relatively new in the span of human evolution, while our hard-wired emotional responses, habits, and implicit biases emerge from much more archaic neural structures. This could explain the internal battle between our wondrous capacity for higher reasoning and our profoundly irrational, animalistic core tendencies toward greed, aggression, and impulsivity. Our brilliant cerebrums are highjacked by primitivelimbic urges. Rational wisdom too often fails to override our subconscious compulsions and learned behaviors.Whatever the explanation, the end result is this bizarre phenomenon of "intellectual giants, behavioral dwarfs" strewn throughout academia and the professional world. Individuals who have incredible intellectual capabilities while failing to apply those talents toward cultivating a life of integrity, balance, and healthy habits. Their breakthroughs in science, mathematics, and technology are undermined by their personal shortcomings. They are advanced computational machines yet dysfunctional human beings. Masters of their cerebral domains yet terrible stewards of their own potential. Thought leaders stuck in a childlike existence of ego, vices, and stunted maturity. So what's the solution for these lopsided individuals? A perspective shift is required to nurture emotional intelligence on par with intellectual horsepower. Educational systems must incorporate more than just academic hurdles, but provide a holistic curriculum for self-actualization and character development. It's not enough to be a genius on paper. True wisdom comes from integrating intellectual mastery with accountability, integrity, and personal insight. The path is arduous requiringconstant vigilance over the ego's insatiable cravings and our innate human frailties. In the end, we must strive for congruence and harmony between our impressive cognitive abilities and our ability to wield them with discipline, virtue, and profound emotional awareness. Only then can we reconcile our "intellectual giant" capabilities with the "behavioral dwarf" tendencies holding us back from realizing our full human potential.篇2A Towering Intellectual, A Stumbling Fool in ActionThey say the path from dreams to success is paved with adversity and failure. As a high school senior, I'm intimately acquainted with the ironic dichotomy of being an "intellectual giant" while incessantly tripping over the pebbles of everyday practicality. Revered by teachers as a brilliant mind, I consistently soar in theoretical realms, grasping complex concepts with an ease that leaves my peers in awe. Yet, my achingly evident lack of common sense frequently manifests through embarrassingly awkward social blunders and an utter inability to handle even the simplest tasks of functional living. This stark contrast betweenmy soaring intellect and woeful ineptitude at practical action is the bane of my existence. My intellectual prowess has been evident from an early age. As a precocious child, I devoured books voraciously, rapidly comprehending subjects ranging from quantum physics to existential philosophy with an insatiable hunger for knowledge. Teachers marveled at my preternatural ability to dissect abstruse literary works and articulate nuanced analyses with remarkable depth for someone of such tender years. Math, that universal language of logic and reason, held no mysteries for my adroit young mind as I breezed through advanced theorems while my age-mates struggled with basic arithmetic. As I progressed through the educational system, my supreme intellect continued to garner awards, accolades, and the admiration of my instructors. Effortlessly maintaining a perfect GPA, I distinguished myself as an exemplary student; selected for prestigious academic enrichment programs and entrusted with representing my school in elite scholastic competitions on the national stage. Professors dubbed me a "renaissance intellect", extolling my mental dexterity that allowed me to masterfully integrate complex concepts across diverse disciplines into an overarching unified theory of understanding.Yes, in the hallowed halls of academia and theoretical discourse, I am a towering giant bestride the intellectual landscape, celebrated for my penetrating insights and possession of that rarest of skills: true genius-level intelligence. My remarkable cognitive powers are indeed an object of envy and veneration among scholars and laypersons alike.Alas, the cerebral sagacity I wield with such devastating effect in the theoretical realm seems to utterly abandon me when venturing forth into the prosaic realm of real-world functionality and practical existence. In stark contrast to my supreme intellectual gifts, my awkwardness in social situations and inability to navigate even the simplest practical demands of daily life render me a veritable stumbling, bumbling Fool unworthy of treading the pedestrian world of common human endeavors. My leaden-footed disastrous missteps into the realm of social grace are the stuff of legendary embarrassment. Whether stammering incomprehensibly when attempting basic conversation, obliviously violating unspoken interpersonal protocols that are intuited by any reasonably socialized person, or displaying a petrified deer-in-headlights expression at the merest hint of spontaneous unscripted interaction, I am acringe-inducing calamity eagerly avoided by my more socially adept peers. The slightest detour from a routine, predictable script of behavior inevitably leads to my dissolution into an awkward, babbling wreck unable to compose a coherent sentence or avoid offending all within earshot. If my shambolic ineptitude in navigating basic social norms is mortifying, the full depths of my impairment at executing even the simplest practical tasks are utterly cringeworthy and pathetic. Simple life skills like operating household appliances, preparing basic meals, driving a vehicle, or performing rudimentary maintenance/repair work might as well be encrypted in an alien language for the complete bewilderment they induce. My utter inability to exhibit the practical competence expected of a functional adult is a source of endless frustration, feelings of worthlessness, and wistful longing for the application of my impressive intellectual gifts to be matched by at least a modicum of basic self-sufficiency.The tragic reality is that I find myself imprisoned in a personal paradox of brilliantly conceiving elaborate theories and comprehending intricate subject matter, while remaining essentially helpless to independently execute basic facets of practical daily existence. I am the quintessential absent-mindedprofessor caricature, capable of discoursing eruditely on theoretical physics while getting hopelessly lost on a neighborhood street or inadvertently triggering a domestic catastrophe while attempting basic culinary tasks. This bizarre bifurcation of my capacities into supreme theoretical comprehension coupled with extremes of impairment regarding practical application has been a source of intense frustration, anxiety, and even depression. While my teachers and academic mentors have celebrated me as a prodigy in the classroom, my own self-perception is one of perpetual inadequacy resulting from crippling inabilities to fulfill basic expectations of autonomous functionality. How can one's value to society and intrinsic self-worth be judged by such contradictory metrics? Where does true wisdom lie - in abstraction or pragmatic grounded action?Perhaps in my seeming deficiencies, I embody the timeless human struggle to elevate the rational intellect above our baser corporeal instincts and preoccupation with humdrum material existence. Throughout history's ages, philosophers have pondered the degree to which our higher faculties of intellect and reason should subjugate animalistic compulsive responses and pragmatic material demands. By exemplifying the absoluteextremes at both ends of this intellectual-pragmatic spectrum, I represent both lofty apotheosis of transcendent cognition and abysmal negation of practical utility. In an era realigning towards increasingly pragmatic preoccupations of technological innovation and optimized efficiency, my paradoxical existence as a conceptual savant and practical imbecile may be an anachronistic indulgence in philosophical ideals destined for obsolescence. Social and economic capital is accorded to those adept at dexterous navigation of convoluted digital-material networks and realization of concrete pragmatic objectives. The vaunted intellectual abstractions I have cultivated may become irrelevant relics in the ruthlessly results-driven ethos of the emerging age.And yet, in persisting through my struggles and contradictions, forging an improbable path savoring the richness of abstract discovery while enduring endless stumbles and humiliations in the realm of mundane undertakings, perhaps I exemplify an essential yin-yang unity undergirding the human experience itself. One cannot truly soar conceptually without humbly acknowledging our flawed incarnations as limited, frail beings stumbling through corporeal travails. Likewise, the humdrum ineluctable demands of physical existence canpotentially ascend towards transcendent planes of enlightened experience when imbued with profundity of intellect.I am neither singular practical titan nor cloistered intellectual.I contain multitudes – an inconsistent admixture of inspired brilliance and foolish shortcomings emblematic of the kaleidoscopic diversity manifesting across the human continuum. My failures prompt growth, my successes incentivize striving, and in that perpetual cycle of overcoming limitations while celebrating strengths, I endeavor to harmonize the discordant elements comprising my identity towards an integrated completeness of being.篇3Intellectual Giants, Physically TinyAs a high school student, I often find myself feeling like an intellectual giant trapped in a physically tiny body. My mind soars with grand ideas and profound thoughts, but my physical stature doesn't quite match the enormity of my cerebral capabilities. It's a paradoxical existence that both amuses and frustrates me.From a young age, I've always been the smallest kid in my class. While my classmates shot up like bamboo shoots, Iremained stubbornly stunted, my growth seemingly stunted by some cruel cosmic joke. But what I lacked in height, I made up for in mental prowess. My teachers quickly recognized my insatiable thirst for knowledge and my ability to grasp complex concepts with ease.As I navigated the labyrinth of academia, I discovered that my diminutive stature was no impediment to intellectual greatness. In fact, it almost became a source of pride, a badge of honor that set me apart from the lumbering giants around me. I reveled in the look of surprise on people's faces when they realized that this pint-sized package contained a veritable treasure trove of knowledge and insight. My classmates, bless their well-intentioned souls, never let me forget my vertical challenges. They delighted in playfully mocking my lack of stature, dubbing me with affectionate nicknames like "Shorty" or "Tiny Tim." But their jests rolled off me like water off a duck's back, for I knew that my true power lay not in my physical dimensions, but in the vast expanse of my mind.In the classroom, I was a force to be reckoned with. While my peers struggled to comprehend the intricacies of calculus or the nuances of Shakespearean literature, I reveled in the intellectualchallenge. My hand shot up with eager abandon, ready to tackle the most perplexing of questions. Teachers marveled at my ability to grasp complex theories and articulate them with a clarity and eloquence far beyond my years. But it wasn't just academics where I excelled. My intellectual curiosity extended to all facets of life. I devoured books on philosophy, psychology, and the natural sciences, reveling in the rich tapestry of human knowledge. I engaged in spirited debates with my peers, wielding logic and reason like a finely honed sword, slicing through fallacies and misconceptions with surgical precision.Yet, for all my mental prowess, I couldn't escape the physical limitations imposed by my stature. Simple tasks that my taller counterparts took for granted became Herculean feats for me. Reaching for objects on high shelves, navigating crowded spaces, and even finding clothes that fit became daily challenges. But I faced each obstacle with a wry smile and an unwavering determination, for I knew that true greatness lay not in the physical realm, but in the boundless realms of the mind.As I prepare to embark on the next chapter of my academic journey, I do so with a profound sense of gratitude for the unique perspective my diminutive stature has afforded me. For inbeing forced to rely on my intellect rather than my physical presence, I have developed a strength of character and a depth of understanding that transcends mere physical attributes. To the world, I may appear a diminutive figure, a mere speck in the vast tapestry of humanity. But to those who truly know me, I am a towering intellectual giant, a beacon of knowledge and insight in an increasingly complex and challenging world. And while my physical stature may never match the lofty heights of my ambitions, I take solace in the knowledge that true greatness is measured not in inches, but in the boundless expanse of the human mind.。

For examples, in a TV series adapted from Journey to the West, Monkey King ridiculously falls in love with an evil spirit. It has gone too far from the original version in which the upright Monkey shows no mercy to ant evil spirit.Various reasons account for this phenomenon. Firstly, readers' or audiences' preference plays a critical role. In this market economy, where there is demand, there is supply. So many playwriters or directors cater for these people's need. Secondly, some producers want to attract people and make profit. To curb this phenomenon, I think two measures should be taken. First, it's necessary to change the way people treat classics. An adapted version that goes too far from the original one is not merely disrespect to the author, but also misleads the readers or the audiences. Second, the concerned authority should check and ban TV series, videos or books that spoofclassics.part 2Recently a blind date including 20 young men and women has been held by an organization. Some people see it as a good way to meet different people while others argue that it’s not possible to find one’s partner between two people who have not previously met. As far as I’m co ncerned, blind dating isworth trying and you can find your true love there!First of all, nowadays many young people are always busying with their work; therefore they have little spare time to meet with their future partner, leading to more and more leftover women and men. According to a study, a happy life includes work and family balance, which means a harmonious family including the couple (and the baby in the future) may contribute to a comparably happy life. What’s more, during a blind date, usually the basic information is given to both parts; therefore it’s more reliable to know a person’s family background, his or her job, religion etc. As is known to all, a couple should have the same belief in value, wealth, thus preventing many potential conflicts.Last but not least, through blind dates, one can meet people with different personalities, thus having a clearer idea about which kind of person is suitable for being a lifelong mate. And blind dates are also great chances to make friends in the same age group. To sum up, blind dating can be a good way to find one’s future husband or wife. It’s feasible and reliable. Hope that everyone can find true love in blind dates!。

Recently, more and more people are inclined to think too much , but do so little. Some people always make firm decision while never take any action to move towards their goals. It is difficult to the point of impossibility to imagine that one could get what he wants simply by thinking rather than acting.
There are two causes for this social phenomenon. To begin with , to dream takes little effort but to action is more tired. In addition , the problem correlates strongly with the
societal environment at large , with the stress from the society, many people seem to lack the confidence to face the difficulties , they always postpone their planes.
You reap what you sow. Each of us should join in the tide of promoting actions.A person’s ability is finally recognized by his achievements instead of his ability of dream.
