Through a series of experiments an American scientist has gained an understanding of the social structure of the most complex of ant societies ．The ants examined are the only creatures other than man to have given up hunting and collecting for a completely agricultural way of life ．In their underground nests they planted gardens on soils made from finely cut leaves ．This is a complex operation requiring considerable division of labor ．The workers of this type of ant can be divided into four groups according to size ．Each of the groups performs a particular set of jobs ． The making and care of the gardens and the nursing of the young ants are done by the smallest workers ．Slightly larger workers are responsible for cutting leaves to make them suitable for use in the gardens and for cleaning the nest ．A third group of still larger ants do the construction work and collect fresh leaves from outside the nest ．The largest are the soldier ants, responsible for defending the nest ．
To find out how good the various size — groups are at different tasks, the scientist measured the amount of work done by the ants against the amount of energy they used ．He examined first the gathering and carrying of leaves ．He selected one of the size groups, and then measured how efficiently these ants could find leaves and run back to the nest ．Then he repeated the experiment for each of the other size groups ．In this way he could see whether any group could do the job more efficiently than the group normally undertaking it ．
The intermediate-sized (中等) ants that normally perform this task proved to be the most efficient for their energy costs, but when the scientist examined the whole set of jobs performed by each group of ants, it appeared that some sizes of worker ants were not suited to the particular jobs they performed ．

If you want to stay young, sit down and have a good think ．This is the research finding of a team of Japanese doctors who say that most of our brains are not getting enough exercise —and as a result, we are not aging unnecessarily soon ．

Actually we have known a lot of examples and meaningful words to support the fact that we should try our best to ease the bad impression of others. Just like the old saying goes, we should give a better assumption to the one than we think he was. But many of us always fail to do this.
Take the situation of my class for example. Right at the beginning of the first semester when we were freshmen we all showed great favor to each other. And when there was an activity that needed some people to join, we would be willing to attend whether it was interesting or not. And we were really like brothers and sisters, and our class was just like a family, a warm family. But now, I feel tired of those meaningless activities not only because of the boring activities themselves but also the cool response of our classmates.
I think the reasons why the passion of most classmates is so low may be as follows: To start with, many of us take part in more than one organization, which will certainly make us tired. Also, in the study fields, many of us may find that our courses are sometimes difficult to understand or comprehend, especially the specialized subjects. Moreover, “history” teaches us that if one does not study hard, it is possible to fail in the exams. 高考复习：高三生如何准备月考模拟考 未 2014-01-10 0832 高考复习：高三生如何准备月考模拟考 高三的日子，黑板上距高考倒计时的数字被放大了无数倍，生活由语数外理化生拼凑而成，铺天盖地的考试是一年的主旋律。高三的月考，尽管你心里清楚这只是高考的练兵，但走进考场，依然忐忑，依然期待通过考试来验证自己的进步。那么，充分的考前准备就是你胜利的第一重保障，我们一起来想一想，月考之前要准备些什么。 知己知彼百战不殆 《兵法》有云：“知己知彼，百战不殆。”了解月考的考试内容和考试目的是第一步。高三的四次月考，会各有侧重。首先，考试内容会配合复习进度，考查阶段学习重点和难点，其次，四次考试会以变换题型的方式对高考进行“围追堵截”，真正实现高考前预备战的补漏作用。另外，月考的难度系数可能会略高于高考，这样才能起到“带着沙包奔跑”的加码作用。 这样，我们在考前复习时，就应针对以上的内容进行。不管现在复习的内容在高考所占比例有多少，都以阶段学习为界，寻找重点，提前加强训练。前两次月考已经考过的题型可以减少训练，贴近高考却一直没有考查过的题型作为复习重点。中等难度，甚至高难度的习题应该集中练习，以避免出现考试当中措手不及的惶惶然。复习中也不要采取“题海战术”，题要做，但要有针对性地做，明确考试对象，主攻考试重点，能让你有限的复习时间“事半功倍”。在三中，一些善于思考，对高考有计划、有全局准备的同学，甚至可以推断出下次考试的某些题型和考查内容。有的放矢，才能射中靶心。 有些同学不太愿意为了月考放弃自己的高考长期计划，觉得月考没有那么重要，这种全局式的复习值得提倡，但，我要提醒你，如果你从来没有在任何一次考试中找到全力出击的感觉，到了高考，也许就失去了临场战斗力！月考给你带来的益处并不仅仅是每次考查的知识点，更重要的是你能对每场考试全力以赴的准备，超越自我的发挥。 临阵磨枪不快也光 “临时抱佛脚”是学生在学习生涯中很难避免的尴尬局面，所以“不快也光”成了我们挂在嘴边的自我安慰。其实，有时候临阵磨好了枪，还能打个胜仗呢！时间短，任务重，怎么磨才够光呢？ 最接近考试状态的就是计时做套题，这是最能模仿考试状态的做法。在做题过程中，注意合理分配做题时间，核对答案后，及时弥补自己知识上的漏
