会运用句型Who’s that? That’s … . 根据《英语课程标准》精神,强调课程从学生的学习兴趣、生活水平出发,倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式和任务型的教学途径,综合运用语言的能力。
本课教学力求让学生在拓展运用的过程中,达到用比较准确的语言进行表达交流。
并在学生学习过程中及时进行评价,与学生的评价有机结合,培养和激发学生学习的积极性,促进学生综合运用语言的能力,并帮助他们建立学习的成就感和自信心。
学习目标:1、认知目标:能正确认读单词:Cathy, Tommy, No, poor等单词。
2、能力目标:能熟练运用Who’s that? That’s… 等句型,并能做出正确的回答。
3、情意目标:激发学生学习兴趣,培养学生语言表达能力,增强学生自信心及团结协作精神. 课型:语言实践课。
教学准备:课文中人物图片,单词卡片,录音机等。

(Canada )Teaching aids::1》 Enlarge and photocopy Drillcard Master 3 (page 70) onto light card .Cut it up to make a set of drillcards.2》Teacher’s set of nine character masks .3》Flags (Canada and Britain )Teaching procedures :Step1. ReviewThis activity reviews the difference between this and that .1).Give a student Mocky’s mask, letting him standing in a side of theclassroom. Hold up Uncle Booky’s mask and say:“This is UncleBooky.”Indicate the student across the room and say:“That’s Mocky.”2.) Hold up a different masks and repeat the sentences. Make it clear withyour gestures that this is used for someone near you and that is for someonefarther away .3.) Have the objects from unit 2 ,Lesson 2s on the table. Hold up a pen ,for example, and move away from your table . Say , “This is a pen.”Pointto another object on the table and say:“That’s a (pencil).”Repeat theprocedure with the other objects and have the student say the words afteryou in a class drill..Step2. Learn and say1.) Give the command :" Open your books." Draw the student’s attention tothe picture at the top of the page.2.) Let the student look at the national flags on the characters’T –shirts.Ask them if they can tell where they are from.3.)Explain to the student that you want them to touch the character whosename they hear when you play the tape .4.)Play the tape , pausing after each character’s name . Check the studentare touching the correct pictures before moving on .5.)Choose 4 students to stand in front of the classroom . Add the WangLing ’s mask to the collection and give each student a mask .Ask theclass to name each character.6.)Replay the tape , stopping after the first name on the tape ( Wang Ling) ,point to the student who holds the Wang Ling ’s mask. Say: This is WangLing. She ’s from China.”7.)Continue with the remaining names.Step 3 Listen to this1.) Let the student open the book page 28. Draw their attention to the“Listento this”picture.2.) Display your copy of the page and point to Tommy inthe first picture. Ask , “Who’s this ?” The students should answer “Tommy.”3.)Repeat this for the rest pictures.4.)Tell the student, the teacher prepares to put the recording, wanting them bythe side of each diagram of mark out the sequence of the dialogue in small square space (1,2,3 and 4)5.) Play the tape , pausing 2 or 3 seconds after one pair of sentences at a time .6 )Play the tape again , this time have the students check the answer.7.) The whole class of · checks figures the answer together.(the teacher says a number and the student say the name of the character.)Step 4 Sing a song1.)Have the students open the book at page 29, say:" We’re going to learna song about Mocky and Lulu.”2.)Read the words to the students ,pointing to each word .3.)Play the first two lines of the song several times , and encourage thestudents to join in by singing ,humming or clapping.4.))Play the rest of the song ,two lines at a time , and each time encouragethe students to join in.Step 5 SummaryHomework: Listen to tape at Page 26,27,28 and 29.Blackboard writing:Unit3:Who' s that?This is ( Tommy ).
