2.学情分析
五年级的学生从三年级开始接触冀教版教材,学生已学过三年的英语,学生已有一定的基础,他们已在一定范围内学习了基础的语言知识和技能,能在特定的语言情景中运用来交际和表达思想。

学生已学过两年的英语,学生已有一定的基础,良好的听、说、读、写英语的习惯已基本养成。

能用英语进行简单的日常交流。

3.教学内容分析
本课是关于圣诞节的故事。

圣诞节对于学生来说已经熟悉了,本节课主要是在学生掌握了一定的有关圣诞节的日常用语的基础上,将教学内容进行适当的扩展和延伸,培养学生的阅读能力。

4.教学目标
要求学生能够掌握四会单词:special,wise,son。

让学生了解圣诞节---圣诞老人的来历,体会英语学习的乐趣。

5.教学重点
把握四会单词和读懂故事大意。

6.教学难点
掌握不规则动词的过去式。

7.教学过程
Step 1 Warming up/Review
1. Greetings.
2. Sing the English so ng “Oh, Christmas Tree”.
3.Play “Spell It” to review any vocabulary in this unit. (出示要示拼写的词汇,集体认进一步巩固复习。


Step 2 Presentation
1. 呈现special
The Ss have seen the word “special” several times in this unit. Ask them to find the word in lesson 25 and lesson27.What do the Ss think it means? (出示special及相关句型)
教师讲解完意思和发音以后,可以让学生说一个他们认为是特殊的东西,然后给大家讲一讲为什么特殊。

这样既练习了单词“special”又锻炼了学生的口语水平。

2.Tell the story
(1)、There is a baby who is special. What do you know about the baby?
The students can say something about Jesus. They can say in Chinese.
(2)、Give some questions. For example:
When is Jesus’s birthday?
Why do people give gifts at Christmas?
(3)、Open your books. Listen to the tape.
Then discuss the questions in groups.
(4)、Deal with the questions and word s that the students don’t understand.
(5)、Retell the story. I draw a picture on the blackboard. The students can retell the story will the picture.
(6)、Teach “Rocking Carol”.
Step3:Play a game.
Find a student play the part of Jesus. Others give him special gifts.
Step4 Activity book
Step5 Homework
Make a gift for a friend. Write its name in English and write “To___ From____”
Sing “Rocking Carol” to your parents.
