Step 2:学习词汇和语法知识通过多媒体课件和单词卡片等教学工具,教授本单元的重点词汇和语法知识,如环境污染、可再生能源、气候变化等,同时引导学生进行词汇拓展和语法练习。

Unit 5 Music1.Analysis of teaching materialThe reading material is taken from Unit 5 Music of New Senior English for China Student’s compulsory book 4 published by PEP. The central topic of this unit,music, is closely familiar to our daily life. As a consequence, students will have a great desire to learn this lesson.In the warming-up part, there are 8 pictures, representing different types of music: classic music, rap, rock 'n' roll, country music, jazz, choral, orchestra, and folk music. And then ask students to answer three questions to know and distinguish different kinds of music in our daily life. As for the pre-reading part, four questions are put forward to mobilize students’ subjective initiative and stimulate their original knowledge. At the same time, it guides students to predict the passage. In the reading part, the text is mainly about the road of a bank called Monkees to succeed. Students should learn the important points to be successful, such as independence, cooperation and so on.I.Analysis of studentsStudents are first-grade students of senior high school. They have achieved certain ability in English comprehension. Besides, they are eager to express their opinions but they would have difficulties in formulating ideas due to limited vocabularies. Hereby, teacher should arrange group discussion and present difficult words and good phrases to assist students in breaking through language barriers.Music is closely related to students and it is a quite relaxing topic. As a result, students will take interest in anticipating in class. At this age, students are filled with curiosity and trend to challenge themselves.
