Dragon boat
A wooden dragon head is attached at the bow, and a dragon tail at the stern(船尾). A banner hoisted on a pole is also fastened at the stern and the hull is decorated with red, en and blue scales edged in gold. In the center of the boat is a canopied shrine behind which the drummers, gong(铜锣)beaters and cymbal(铙钹)
There are many legends about the evolution of the festival, the most popular of which is in commemoration of Qu Yuan (340-278 BC), an honest minister who is said to have committed suicide by drowning himself in a river .

Today, Dragon Boat Festival in the Chinese people is still a very p opular grand festival. Country attaches great importance to the protection of intangible cultural heritage, May 20, 2006, the Stat e Council approved the inclusion of the folk first batch of nation al intangible cultural heritage

• Everyone should take a break during the holiday, but the main function of the traditional festivals becoming holidays doesn’t only lie in enjoyment.

Zongzi, as the traditional food for the Dragon Boat Festival.
We use the lotus leaves to wrap the rice .
The food is made of sugar and rice.

They are sweet and delicious.
