Do we need a life with a mask?

Nowadays, life is full of challenges in the high speed advancing society. Many people live

in a sophisticated life as they are surrounded by a competitive world. In order to survive,

they manage to commune with people through skilled ways. Under a mask, they become

more and more complicated. In the long run, they always feel very tired and then they find

that it is unwise to live a life with a mask. The truth of life is to be oneself. Truth, goodness

and beauty always lie in a real life with a true man’s character. Life is too short to be waste.

All of us do need a real life with faith.

Firstly, a true man always lives in a real life, never with a mask. Lifetime can not be seen

as it flies just like an arrow. But, life can be tracked as we have gained experience from

that. To be oneself, it is important for a true man. With that he will be rather more content

with the world. On the contrary, a man who lives in a vain and false life, he will be greedy

and hypocritical. Qu Yuan, who lived in Spring Autumn Period, lived most of his life with

real characters. He was a well-educated and decent man who bore loyalty and faith in his

mind. However, he was ostracized by prefect of Chu. For all that he still stringed along

with his feudal lord and never changed his mind to be a patriotic man. Unfortunately, he

was born before his time. However, a people will never forget such a great man. It is

known to all, he had been remembering by later generations. Learning of his story, we

know that a true man’s life should be truly open and upright.

Secondly, a masked life lacks of truth, goodness and beauty which get through our life. To

live a false life will lead us to a miserable world. Just like Anna in Leo Tolstoy’s Novel Anna

Karenina. In this novel, she set a typical example for us. She lived in a false, masked and

sophisticated world. She betrayed her husband, abandoned her son and then lived with

her lover. Finally, she lost everything and became a tragedy. She was a pea cocky woman

who longs for true love and freedom. During her empty world, she got lost and she could

not distinguish true and false. In the end, she was suicide. She represented a group of

people in real life during that time. And, this story reveals the masked society which

makes people helpless and suffering. Obviously, after a healthy life, we will live in a

harmonious society.

Thirdly, life is too short to be waste. Why should we make such a trip for nothing with a

mask? A true life with a faith can serve as a prop to sustain us for a lifetime. We

communicate with different people each day and then we know how to deal with these

relationships smartly and wisely. That improves our respective to commune with people.

Many people try to hide their real characters in their lives and almost get lost. Tang Jun,

who has ever worked as a CEO of Microsoft in China, was found that his Master degree

was faked. He was not honest to be himself as he fostered a wrong outlook on the world,

life and values. This aroused a fierce discussion and there was widespread criticism on a

man’s twisted outlook towards life. It is not good to live a masked life with faith like that.

In a short word, life is real to us. We should be real to it too. So, we do not need a life with a mask. What’s more, a real life will help you take the long view to make a right good piece

of fulfilled lifestyle.
