on the tree（树上长的东西） There is a bird singing .(在树上) I can see some apples .(在树上) 2、somewhere和 anywhere 不定副词，定语后置 I’m going to move .( somewhere quiet/ quiet somewhere) Mary couldn’t see Tom .(somewhere /anywhere) 3. happen \ take place happen是不及物动词，一般偶然发生 1) 表示“某地(某时)发生了什么事”，常用“sth.+ happen +地点/时间”这一结构来表达，此时主语应是事情。例如： The story happened in 2003. 这个故事发生在2003年。 An accident happened in that street. 那条街上发生了一起事故。 What is happening over there? 那边在发生什么事？ 2) 表示“某人出了某事(常指不好的事)”，要用“sth.+ happen+to sb.”这一结构主语常用what，accident A car accident happened to her this morning. 今天上午她发生了交通事故。 What happened to you? 你怎么啦？ 3) 表示“某人碰巧做某事”，要用“sb.+ happen+ to do sth.”这一结构来表达。 3

I happened to meet a friend of mine in the street yesterday. 昨天我碰巧在街上遇到了我的一个朋友。 4) happen表示“碰巧或恰巧发生某事”时，还可用“It happens / happened that...”这一结构来表达。例如： It happened that Brian and Peter were at home that day. 碰巧那天布莱恩和彼得在家了。 It happened that he had to take part in a meeting that afternoon. 碰巧那天下午他不得不参加一个会议。 注：that从句中的主语是人时，此种结构可以与“sb.+ happen + to do sth.”结构互换。例如： It happened that Brian and Peter were at home that day. = Brian and Peter happened to be at home that day. I happened to see him on my way home. = It happened that I saw him on my way home. 5)take place 表示“发生、举行、举办”，一般指非偶然性事件的“发生”，即这种事件的发生一定有某种原因或事先的安排，例如： Great changes have taken place in our hometown during the past ten years. The Olympic Games of 2008 took place in Beijing. 4. another, other, the other, others 和the others。 先将这些不定代词分为单、复数： 单数：another, (any) other, the other 4

复数：other+名词复数＝others the other+名词复数＝the others 单数部分中，用于表示与前边提到的一个不同，用another（三个或三个以上）。I don’t like this one. Please give me another. 两者当中的另一个用the other, She has two daughters. One is a teacher, the other is a doctor. 在比较级中表示比其他任何一个……., 用any other+单数名词。 复数部分中，其区别在于在others或the others。前面加the,表示除了前边提到的剩下的全部，无the表示除了前边提到的剩下的大部分。 Some people like swimming, and others like boating. Step1. Revision
Review the grammar box. Ask students to use the structure on the book to describe the things.
Point out when we should use this kind of structure. And get the students to practice the sentences in pairs.
I have kept the book for three months.以上四种基本的现在时态，为了便于从总体上来比较、理解这四种现在时态，我们把这四种时态所在的时间轴放在一起，如下图：
综合上述四条时间轴，不难看出这四种时态的共同点：现在时态的基点时间都是“现在”（Now），它们的动作都与现在时间有关，这一点刚好与前面所提到过的“两时”中的“现在时”相吻合。
如：come/go—be, borrow/lend—keep等。e.g.
1)Tom has come here for three days.应改为:
Tom has been here for three days.
2)I have borrowed the book for three months.应改为：
