螺丝分类有普通螺丝、自攻螺丝、膨胀螺丝三种。

1、普通螺丝：螺丝是利用物体的斜面圆形旋转和摩擦力的物理学和数学原理，循序渐进地紧固器物机件的工具。

2、自攻螺丝：自攻螺丝是指尖头、粗牙的，质地较硬的木螺丝，也有铝合金、塑料的，用于金属孔开螺纹的一种特殊自攻螺丝被叫做丝攻。

3、膨胀螺丝：膨胀螺丝指的是金属膨胀螺丝，膨胀螺丝的固定是利用楔形斜度来促使膨胀产生摩擦握裹力，达到固定效果。

螺丝的有关术语
1、螺丝、螺母、螺帽、螺栓、螺钉、螺柱的区别：
标准说法是没有螺丝和螺帽的。

螺丝是俗称，带有外螺纹的都可称"螺丝"。

螺母外形通常为六角形，内孔为内螺纹，用来与螺栓配合，把紧相关件。

螺帽是俗称，标准应称"螺母"。

螺栓的头部一般为六角形，杆部带有外螺纹。

螺钉较小，头部有平头、十字头等，杆部带有外螺纹。
