1、Mother’s Day is a holiday that is just as important as any of the other holidays.
It allows us to show our mothers just how grateful we are for them being a part
of our lives. Everyone’s mother is different. When it comes to finding the perfect
unique gift, why don’t you think about giving your mom a personalized photo
frame that contains her favorite picture of the two of you? Not only is this a
budget friendly gift but this is a gift that any mom will love because it shows that
it is something that truly comes from the heart.

2、学习外国语言时别忘了身体语言。有些动作，简单如一个微笑，可以在第一
种文化中表示友好，第二种表示尴尬，第三种表示不耐烦。甚至沉默在不同的
地方也有不同的意味。语言学习者投入大量的时间和金钱去掌握一门外语的词
汇和语法结构，却从来没有考虑过这些在沟通过程中和语言学无关的方面。
Don't forget your body language when learning a foreign language. Some action,
as simple as a smile, can be friendly in the first culture, the second said
embarrassed, a third said impatiently. Even silence in different places have
different meaning. Language learners invest a lot of time and money to master
the vocabulary and grammatical structure of a foreign language, but never
consider these aspects in the communication process and linguistics irrelevant .
3、We demand difficulty even in our games. We demand it because without difficulty
there can be no game. A game is a way of making something hard for the fun of it.
The rules of the game are an arbitrary imposition of dificulty. When the spoilsport
ruins the fun, he always does so by refusing to play by the rules. It is easier to win at
chess if you are free,at your pleasure, to change the wholly arbitrary rules, but the fun
is in winning within the rules. No difficulty, no fun.即使于游戏之中，我们也需要有
艰难困苦。之所以需要它，是因为若没有困难，便断无游戏可言。游戏即是这样
一种方式，为了享受其中的情趣而人为地使事情变得不那么轻而易举。游戏中的

4、在我们人生的最初几年里，我们感受到的一切，所做的一切都是全新的。而
且，我们的许多经历都很独特，独特到足以牢牢留在我们的记忆中。但是随着
时间的流逝，我们能遇到的全新经历越来越少了。这是由于我们不仅已经完成
了许多事情，而且已经习惯于像奴隶般遵守自己的生活习惯。
In the first few years of life, we all feel, everything is new . Moreover, many of
our experiences so unique enough to stay in our memory. But with the passage
of time, we can meet the brand-new experience less and less. Not only because we
have done a lot of things, but also are used to comply with their own habits like a
slave.

英语翻译Unit one Text A （饶笳译）Before you read 背景知识United Kingdom，UK,和Britain 都是被用来指代整个英国的专有名词，不过，Britain 这个词也经常被用来代表大不列颠岛。

用Great Britain 来代表英国已经是一种过时的用法了，确切地说，这个名字已经只用来指代大不列颠岛，并未将北爱尔兰包括在内。

England 这个词绝对不能够用来形容英国，因为英格兰只是英伦群岛的一部分。

称呼那些来自英格兰，苏格兰或者威尔士的人为British 是恰当的，尽管英格兰人也可被称为English，苏格兰人也可被称为Scottish，威尔士人也可被称为Welsh。
