Henna，可以翻译成指甲花，又名散沫花。属于千屈菜科，它原产于非洲、南亚及澳大利亚
的热带与亚热带地区。是一种小灌木，高约3～5英呎，花的颜色是淡粉红色，主要生长在气
候炎热及干燥的地方，例如：印度、巴基斯坦、埃及、北非及中东等国家。它的花可以作为
香水，树最上层叶片被用来作为手与脚彩绘的颜料，其余的部分则用来作为染头发的颜料。
海娜是一种生长在热带干旱地区的植物，也是印度的主要经济作物之一。但是并不是所有的
热带地区都适合海娜的生长。海娜的品质受温度，气候的影响非常明显。在印度的拉贾斯坦
邦每年的降雨量在400mm以下，6月的最高气温可达到48摄氏度，非常适合海娜的生长。印
度90%的海娜都出产自这里。通常来说6月-7月初期的海娜的色素含量是最高的，而2月时候
