教学背景:过去进行时态中,引导时间状语从句的连词“when”和“while”的选择是学生掌握的难点,也是教学重点。
通过
微课的形式,集中讲解用法,为学生解惑。
教学目标:
1.学生能够在过去进行时态中正确使用连词“when”和“while”。
2.学生能够区分终止性动词和延续性动词。
教学方法:讲解和练习。
教学过程:
一.导入
选择when 和while的三个原则。
二.讲解
1.when意为“在……时刻或时期”,它可兼指“时间点”与“时间段”,所引导的从句的动词既可以是终止性动词,也可是持续性动词。
如:When I got home, he was having supper.
我到家时,他正在吃饭。
When I was young, I liked dancing.
我年轻时喜欢跳舞。
※终止性动词:不能延续的动作,这种动作发生后立即结束。
如:open, close, finish, begin, come, go, arrive, reach, get to, leave,move, borrow, buy, die等。
延续性动词:能够延续的动作,这种动作可以延续下去或产生持久影响。
如:stay, live, learn, study, work, wait, watch, sing, read等。
2.while只指"时间段",不指"时间点",从句的动词只限于持续性动词。
如:While I was sleeping, a thief broke in.在我睡觉时,盗贼闯了进来。
While Miss Chen was having a class, the earthquake happened.
陈老师上课的时候,地震发生了。
3.while引导的时间状语从句多用进行时态,
而when引导的时间状语从句多用一般时态。
三.练习题
用When 或者While填空。
1.We were talking________ the teacher came into the classroom.
2.I was singing _________ he was dancing.
3.________ I was cutting hair, the UFO landed.
4.The boys were playing by the river ____ Tom fell into the river.
