The environment is the totality of surrounding conditions.In present-day society, plastic

containers and utensils are pervasive in the city and the country alike. These plastics

shopping bags, chopsticks and mineral-water bottles, to name but a few.It is manifest that

we have some big problems about environment . Hence, it is imperative that we identify the

causes of this phenomenon and pinpoint the effective remedies.The aim of the eassy is to

outline.some of the problems facing the environment and some of the solutions.

The environment has many problems.To begin with,the proliferation of plastic shopping bags

and eating utensils is largely engendered by the surging consumerism. Plastic containers and

utensils are lighter in weight, cheaper and often for free in price and water-resistant in

performance,.In other words, lastic bags and containers are also cost-effective since they are

cheaper to manufacture, ship, and store.We must to take measure for the problem.firstly, we

must do our utmost to enhance people’s awareness of how persistent and devastating

non-biodegradable trash can be to our environment and our descendants. The government

and the technologists should spare no effort in advocating the use of environmental-friendly

containers. In addition,make a new tax levied by the government on the use of plastic bags

in businesses will, doubtless, help to curb this massive “white pollution”.

In addition,water scarcity also is one of the biggest problems about environment. The

overexploitation water resource also plays a pivotal role in water scarcity. Awareness of the

significance of water conservation is weak or non-existent on household, community and

national levels.We must to stop the waste about water. Firstly, the concept of sustainable

development ought to be spread in the international community. Any form of over tapping

natural resources must be strictly prohibited. Moreover,we must strive to find new source of

fresh water.

To sum up,earth not only is a home for human,but also is the only home for us.We must to

stop every act which can break the environment.We must to have a full realization of

significance about protect the environment.
