Lesson 17 Seasons教案

Step 1 : Class opening and Review
1) Greeting
2) Review
① Review clothing the students have already
mastered with “ spell it ”
jeans shirt skirt blouse hat pants sweater
shoes socks jacket glasses
② Play a game to review months of the year .
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1、Teach “ winter , spring , summer , fall ”
1) Review the months of the year in order .
Put four pictures to represent the seasons
at the appropriate points about the line of cards .
2) For example , show a snowflake and a
thermometer with a cold reading for “ winter ”
and place it above the cards for December and
January .
3) When I have a picture for each season
posted above the months , walk from “ winter ”
to “ fall ” as I say :

① This is winter . Winter is cold ! What’
s the weather ? It’s .What’s the temperature ?
It’s degrees .

② Now it’s spring . Spring is warm . What’
s the temperature ? It’s degrees .
③ Now it’s summer . Summer is hot . What’
s the weather ? It’s .
④ It’s fall . Fall is cool . Look ! It’s
degrees .
4) Ask for volunteers to walk with I and say
the words .
5) Introduce the seasons by themselves .
2、Learn “ Different clothes for different
seasons ”
1) Ask and discuss :
① What clothes do they wear in winter ?
② What clothes do they wear in spring ?
③ What clothes do they wear in summer ?
④ What clothes do they wear in fall ?
2)Divide into the groups to practice “ four
seasons ” and what do you wear in winter spring ,

summer and fall ?
Step 3 Consolidation
1) With the cards to practice “ four
seasons ”
2) Discuss “ Different clothes for different
seasons ”
Step 4 Homework
