1.为动词，作“考虑”解时，后面可接动名词和从句，也可以接由how，what等引导的不定式，但不能直接接不定式。例如：

Phoebe considered going to see them in person.菲比考虑亲自去看望他们。

Have you considered how to /how you could get there?你是否考虑过如何到那里去?

2.作“认为”解时，也可接从句，但一般不接动名词。例如：

Walton didn't consider (that) the critical period is not over.沃尔顿不认为危险期还没有过。

3.作“认为”解时，后面还可接带有不定式的复合结构。例如：

Wanda consider only such slogans to be correct.旺达认为只有这样的口号正确。注：这种结构的不定式主要是to be，间或也可以是其他动词的不定式(多为完成式)。例如：

We all consider him to have acted disgracefully.我们都认为他的行为很不光彩。

但在被动结构中，作主语补足语的不定式(即主动结构中的宾语补足语)可以是其他动词的一般式。例如：

Wain is considered to lack experience. 韦恩被认为经验不足。

4.consider„as和regard„as都表示“认为„„是”，经常通用。但consider侧重经过思考，regard则有“看成”的意味。例如：

Pozen considered his plan as having possibilities.波曾认为他的计划具有可行性。

I should regard that as entirely unjust. 我认为那完全是不公正的。

注：consider后面的as常常省掉;regard 后面的as一般不能省掉。
