教材分析

本课教学内容是上海教育出版社出版的《牛津英语》五年级上册第四模块第十一单元的内容。本单元主题是The Journey of Little Water Drop.是以小水滴自述的形式介绍水在自然界的循环过程。学生在三四年级的学习中已掌握一般现在时的表达方式。在本单元的学习中，学生可以在讲故事中继续练习一般现在时，并要求能够在生活中运用。对于大多数学生来说水的循环过程是比较难理解的，通过拟人化的叙事手法，以故事的形式向学生讲述，学生就比较容易接受了，也愿意在生活中运用，这是本课学习的优势所在。本课所学内容与前两单元没有必然的联系，但却是以前所学旧知的延展，这利于学习的逐渐加深和能力的逐步提高有帮助。

学情分析

五年级学生对学习英语仍有着极强的求知欲强，学习积极主动，思维方式由形象思维向抽象思维在转化。他们的英语知识储备已有四年，具有了一定的自主学习能力，但还存在着学习方法和学习策略经验不足等问题。因此在设计本课时，教师一步一步引导学生，帮助学生进一步掌握本课句型，以及理解本课的文本内容。借助提问，自学呈现主要句式和词汇，更充分的帮助学生在语境中理解语言，培养学生的学习兴趣，提高学生综合语用能力。
