1. Do you think man lives in harmony with nature now?
In my opinion, I don’t think man lives in harmony with nature now.
To begin with, we all know that in order to develop the economy, people built up
so many factories these years which do harm to the nature. Billon tons of carbon
dioxide is let off into the air and polluted water poured into the river every year from
the factories.
What’s more, the population problem may be the greatest challenge of the
present time to the nature. In other words, people are being born faster than they are
dying, or they are dying at a slower rate than they are being born. The average life
span has doubled in the last 50 years. There are more and more people that the nature
can not afford it.
Reality just telling us, to protect the nature has become more and more important
in both scientific field and in our daily lives. So it’s necessary for us to lives in
harmony with nature.
2. Can you give some examples to show environmental problems
which are the consequences of man’s activities? According to you,
what can we do to solve or to prevent the problems you have just
mentioned?
Nowadays, the global environmental problem is becoming a common concerning
problem in the world. As our country is a developing country, we can’t avoid the
environmental problems which are cause of man’s activities. Such as the emission of
carbon dioxide, resource exhaustion, ecological destruction, ozone depletion, acid rain,
the greenhouse effect…and so on.
Development is necessarily but it brings a variety of problems that we cannot
avoid, what we can do is to take damage reduced to the minimum degree, protect the
environment is to protect us. To prevent the problems I have just mentioned, such as
the emission of carbon dioxide, we can replace the traditional electric bulbs with the
energy-saving ones; we’d better choose public transportation instead of driving the
private car. There are indeed many environmental problems, but there are also many
things we can do to. We must deal with a good relationship between environmental
protection and economic development.
6. Nowadays finding a job is not easy, which involves such factors as
job hunters’ experience, ability, diploma, personality and so on. As
for the ability and diploma, which do you think plays the more
important role in securing a job?
In most of job markets of China, the job hunters will be always asked some
questions like "what's your educational background?", "do you get any diploma?"
when finding a job. Diploma means a stepping-stone to success, big bucks and good
treatment; it seems nobody cares about your capability if without diploma. In my
opinion, diploma plays the more important role in securing a job the first thing we
must have is the diploma and other qualifications, for most Chinese companies
evaluate a job-hunter by their educational background instead of real capability. And
also the qualified diploma can give you more chances than other ones. As for
capability, you could develop while you get a job. After all, the stupid person who’s
only good at studying is minority. Plus without any diplomat you declare you could be
competent of a competitive job, who believes you? So diploma is the key to find a job,
but you must improve your own capacity if you want to get promotion in the future.
