Something about 《The Little Prince》

It’s a book written by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, a famous
French writer. What is accepted by most people is that 《The Little
Prince》is not only a fairy tale for the children but also for the adults.
It’s second only to 《Bible》 as the most popular book in the world.
This small book contains a fairy tale, a story about many things.
The author tries to tell us something about innocence of childhood
and love. The prince loves his roses, but felt disappointed by
something the rose said. As doubt grows, he decides to explore
other planet. And then he meets a fox who teaches him a lot.
I am moved by a large number of plots and words in the book,
for example, the little prince discovers that his rose is not the only
one of its kind, there are thousands of them in a garden, but then
he realizes that his rose is special "because it is she that I have
watered; because it is she that I have put under the glass globe;
because it is she that I have sheltered behind the screen". How
beautiful these words are! It can make people think of a touching
scene. It’s just a nice wish in the prince’s heart filled with love.
Every coin has two sides. There are also some weak points of
the book. As far as I am concerned, it describes a pretty wonderful
world to us but it’s too far away from our real lives. So after reading
the book, people will think a lot and be unpleasant about the reality.
What’s worse, some people may hate the society and try their best
to find a new world but it won’t come true and then they will be more
and more upset and negative.
In conclusions, I am fond of this book. I have learned some
fantastic words what the fox tells the prince by heart and I would
like to share them with you.
“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is
essential is invisible to the eye. Men have forgotten this truth. But
you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what
you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose."
