Step 1 Presentation
Can you find out on the calendar what day it is today ?
What is your favourite food ?
Step 2 Presentation
This is also a festival . It is Halloween. What do people do for Halloween? People often have a big party and wear special costumes.They also make pumpking lantons.
What do people often eat at Mid-Autumn-festival ?
People often eat mooncakes.
Step 3 Practice
Do we celebrate Halloween in China ? It’s not a Chinese festival. It’s a Western festival. Look at the picture in Part A. Which picture is about Halloween? Can you find it out ?
Do you know more festivals? Write the names of the other festivals under the picture .
Step 4 Listening
Do you remember our friend Eddie?
What does she do every day?
Listen to the tape and answer the question?
Which food does Kitty have for breakfast ?
What does Daniel eat in the past?
What does Daniel plan to do ?
Ask the students to read the text.
Step 5 Homswork

教学反思：
本节课是Reading 的第一课时，教学目标是锻炼学生的阅读能力，了解两个人物Kitty 和Daniel 的饮食习惯和生活方式，从而引出本单元的话题-健康的饮食习惯和生活方式，拔高部分是让学生们自己说出自己的饮食习惯和生活方式。

最终总结出我们要有健康的饮食习惯，经常锻炼身体，形成良好的生活方式。
