2018年1月举行了4场雅思考试,分别为1月6日、1月13日、1月18日、1月20日。
1月6日雅思口语真题回忆:一、考试概述:以下为1月份本场考试话题,请考生们扎实准备。
1. Describe one thing you got for free2. Describe a website you often browse3. Describe a plant or vegetable in your country4. Describe something you bought that made you happy5. Describe a big company organization that you know in your city二、具体题目分析:Describe something you bought that made you happyYou should say:What it isWhy you bought itHow you chose itAnd explain why you think it is specialSpeaking of something I bought that made me happy, I’d like to talk about my oven.If I recall correctly I think it was a Saturday afternoon when I was browsing the website of Taobao, the Chinese version of Amazon, there was a sales promotion commercial of an oven attracted me, and I was seized by whim--- why don’t I just buy one? Actually, there were tons of different brands and I just bought the best-selling one without hesitation and started the firsthand experience of baking.I have had a sweet tooth from a very young age, and I am particularly fond of desserts. The sweet tooth drives me to try nearly every kind of cake: cupcakes, puff, cookies and so forth. But I had never tried to make one on my own or even touch a real oven until I purchased one.It is hard and frustrating to start baking. I spent nearly a whole week learning to make a cake perfectly, I tried a bunch of times and also progressed through carefully weighing the powder, sugar and milk. I was thrilled when the beautiful cake was finally taken out from the oven.I feel it is special to me because, firstly it is always satisfying to eat something from your own hand, and secondly it reveals the importance of taking the first step. I always fail in things that I want badly at first, which is often because of my fear to getting started. I’ve learnt from baking that it isn’t as hard as I imagined; what I need to do is just take the first step. I believe this inspiration would be helpful to me in many ways.1月6日雅思听力真题回忆:Section 1场景:邮寄咨询题型:10 笔记填空参考答案:1-10) Table Completion1.a bicycle2.up to 40 pounds3.liquids or foods4.plastic5.Saturdays6.special service of storage7.Sweden8.5759.driver10. photocopy of passportSection 2场景:烹饪课程介绍题型:10 匹配题参考答案:11.North Carolina C. individual classes12.Italy H. provides bus tour13.New Orleans F. provides afternoon walking tours14.Budget Feasts G. making time-saving food15.Cooking for Two D. cooking for college students16.Variations in Theme A. using a particular ingredient17.Oven H18.Refrigerator F19.Demonstration Kitchen D20.Utensil Cabinet B (答案仅供参考)Section 3场景:课程讨论题型:8 单选+2 多选参考答案:21.Adele does research on Britublock because B. Humans tend to copy one another, especially in fashion, choice of cloths and consumer goods. Do you agree or disagree.Provide your reasons and example from your own experience.范文1:Nowadays fashion is spreading its roots in this jet age of 21st century. It has been extremely debatable whether humans idolize to imitate others or not in terms of outfits, food items so on. Here, i would like to accord with given statement. There are numerous reasons to support my view point. First and foremost, global advertisment has made the world as a global village and various fashion companies establish their branches in entire world to sale innovative fashion things in every supermarket of the world. As a result, people try to collect those things which are prevalent all over the world. For example, china sale its products frequently not only in india but also in other parts of world as they are economical simulteneously sperior. Consequently, people prefer to imitate others in fashion and consumer goods.Furthermore, we all are living in glamorous where various fashion industries develop new fashion all accross the world further, people use them and try to imitate. Consequently, advertisment tempt to people to wear same dress of their celebrities. In addition, there is a dire needs for everyone to update with modern world trends therefore, people adopt new inventions of fashion in whole world. What is more, in term of lifestyle, people want to compete each others by uplifting their life as they want all things which are using by their neighbour and community. As a result, people adore to copy others in terms of consumer goods and fashion. Moreover, due to technology, people come to know about popular things which are in vogue at world wide therefore, they indulge in rate race of achieving prevalent things by internet so, they try to copy othere. To recapitulate, i think, it has become a fashion to imitate othere to enhance their lifestyle.范文2:Some people think consumers’ preferences of buying similar products such as clothes show their tendency to copy each other. I disagree with this statement. It is undeniable that some people choose to buy clothes with high popularity in order to follow a trend, and by following others, they can get a sense of belonging, connection, and identity. For example, teenagers tend to wear Vans sneakers rather than high heels because Vans has been made into an identity of young people. Especially in a student union group, members often wear clothes in similar style so that they feel connected and belonged. Consumers also buy popular products due to others’recommendation. This happens frequently when people see online reviews when comparinga few products. If they follow others’ advice when making purchase decision, this would result in buying things that cater for others’ taste. However, the above reasons are not enough to explain the phenomenon of buying well-liked products. In more cases, it is the positive traits of a product that motivate consumers to buy. For instance, without the superior attributes of Apple products, be it the on the cutting edge technology or the user-friendly detailed design, it would not have enjoyed such huge followings in the market. Besides, price is another factor that consumers take into account when purchasing. Every type of products has a target group of consumers, and often, the middle-class cannot afford luxury goods so that they buy economical things, and those products therefore become well liked in this class.Above analysis suggests that although the consumption of some popular products are affected by consumers’ attempt to conform with others, other factors such as quality and price also lead to the popularity of some products.。
The chart below shows amount (in tonnes) of coffee and tea imported to four countries in 2007.Task 2题型单边讨论—教育类—新技术的运用题目Lectures were used in the past with many students. With modern technology available for education, there is no justification for this way of teaching.Do you agree or disagree?参考范文The implementation of modern technology in educational institutes is certainly a progression, yet many go overboard and claiming the traditional teaching methods should be completed replaced. Personally, I believe the merits of the old-school ways should never be neglected. The most distinguishable advantage of modern educational technology is that it can improve access to education, including full degree programs, as such advance not only can provide numerous learning materials, but also can make these materials accessible to a wider audience. With greater possibility of engaging with these resources, students can spend more time on specific aspects of what they may be learning in school, but at home. An example of this could be when Khan Academy and TED Talks are actively being used in many schools and universities. Eventually, these additional support to the educational system will enable better integration for non-full-time students, particularly in continuing education.Although students appreciate the convenience brought by these technologies, one must notice the complexity of learning environment as the interplay and interactions of many things impact the outcome of learning. When technology is brought into an educational setting, the pedagogical setting changes in that technology-driven teaching can change the entire meaning of an activity without adequate research validation. In fact, technology, in and of itself, does not necessarily result in fundamental improvements to educational practice, as the implementation of such technology would scarcely encourage students to work socially or collaboratively, and can also make them highly susceptible to distraction and sidetracking. This issue can be solved by appropriate supervision asprovided by instructors in traditional classroom, meaning performance of courses equipped with high-level technology can be limited.Overall, completely replacing traditional way of teaching with modern technology could be too aggressive due to questionable consequences of doing so.字数:300。

TASK 1
The graph gives information about the visits from France and North America for holiday and business.
The two line charts illustrates the changes of number of visits from France and North America to United Kingdom for business and holiday respectively.
It can be seen from the first chart that holiday visits to UK from North American showed an upward trend before July, rising from only approximately 0.6 million to 3 million. After that time, that figure presented a completely opposite trend and plummeted rapidly to 0.5 million in December. The number of French visitors shared a similar but much more moderate pattern, during which time the figure rose slightly from 1 million in January to 1.5 million in July before declining to the starting point in December.
As for business visits, the difference between the number of French travelers and that of North American travelers was relatively small and constant. The figure of France fluctuated between 0.1 million and
0.2milion while that of North America moved between 0.2 million and 0.35 million.
Overall, more North American travelers visit United Kingdom than French visitors for both travel and business purposes.
TASK 2
题目:
People are now surrounded by advertising. This both
affects what people think is important and has a negative impact on people’s lives.
题目类别:观点类
题材类别:教育类
参考范文(Word Count: 250)
Nowadays, the overwhelming influences of advertisements on people have made too many controversial social issues. The essay aims to critically discuss the impacts on individuals’lives.
Admittedly, the literal intention of advertisements is to sharpen the concept of individualism. For the purpose of distinguishing brand names, slogans and testimonials in advertisement are always full of very personalized words, including "new", "innovation", "uniqueness", "revolution", "the best", "the only" and "the first". It is clear that core values of these words bring people a motivation to change, and a desire to try something distinctive. Consequently, the gap between people can be broadened, because any individual is stimulated by advertisements to express their personalities by buying different items instead of following common tastes.
However, others argue that advertising has a negative impact, such as it gives false information and extreme consumption is encouraged by a high quantity of advertisements on radio, TV and internet. Consequently, children could be persuaded and influenced by unreal and overacted behavior showed on them. In contrast of this, many companies and governments have started to regulate those announcement. For example, notes have been printed on covers related
to the risk to get any products in excess or even changes made in the art and photos such as human body modifications or unreal effects.
In conclusion, I believe with a correct regulation applied to agencies by governments, advertising is an excellent way to get people close to products, trends and information.
