attention to the environment and nature. In many places of the

countryside rivers have e stinking sewers and brooks have disappeared.

Heaps of garbage obstructs the scarce flow of dirty water. The grounds are

littered with plastic bottles and bags. People are cutting down trees even

though it is illegal. In some towns rubbish is hidden behind walls. Garbage

cans are often of little use making cleaners must rush all day long and also

by night to clean the rubbish.

中国有着悠久辉煌的历史，人民十分友善好客。但是我很好奇为什么有些人对自然和环境那么不在乎。在乡下的很多地方，河流已经变成臭哄哄的下水道，小溪也消失了。成堆的垃圾阻碍了污水难得的流动，地面上到处是丢弃的塑料瓶和塑料袋。尽管乱砍滥伐是违法的人们还是砍倒树木。在一些乡镇，垃圾就隐藏在墙后面。垃圾箱基本上没起到作用，使得清洁工人必须整天日日夜夜来回清理垃圾。

This lack of consideration for nature in general is extremely

detrimental to children’s education toChina’s image to public health to

year-plus ancient civilized country. I think the environment must

absolutely be strictly protected by all means. This protection should go at

the same pace as the marvelous development of the nation.

In each of these accidents heavy casualties were reported – houses were

burned down students lost their lives and properties were damaged. Faced

with such a chilling fact people keep asking “What on earth results in these

repeated tragedies?”

A brief survey of them reveals that human factors still prove to be the

leading causes. For example three of these fires were caused by the

students’ use of electric water-heaters. As students often leave the heaters

unattended the risks are rather high should the water in the bottle boil dry

while no one is around to turn off the power. In other cases fires were also

caused by stoves candles cigarette butts etc.

electric appliances and make sure there are no open flames before leaving

rooms. Lastly do not smoke in the dorm.

population. In order to have more fuel people cut down trees and dig

more corals. But the growing needs for energy are hardly to meet.

Countless private cars on the street the gas stations are short of gasoline

even the government has raise the price so many times in order to control

the needs of gasoline but it’s still not working. Overusing the natural

resources has already affected the ecological balance. However the

factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted water into

the rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the environment.
