Teaching contents(教学内容): 1. 教材:人教版高中英语教材。 2. 内容:必修模块5: Unit5 Lesson1 3. 教材说明:本课内容对教材进行了适当的选择和补充,综合了阅读和口语的训练,符合 《新课标》中对教材使用的合理建议。 Teaching aims (教学目标): 1. 语言知识和技能方面: * 掌握本课的篇章结构和细节理解。 * 练习如何从烫伤和突发疾病等状况多角度介绍基本急救常识。 2. 情感态度方面: 通过课前和课堂上的体验、参与、实践等探究性活动,让学生学会合作、自主学习,增强学生学习的积极性和学生的自信心。 Difficult points (教学难点) 1. Enable the Ss get some first aid knowledge by means of grasping the main idea of each part of the passage. 2. Enable the Ss to learn how to use what they’ve learnt to do first aid treatment for burns /heart attack correctly. Teaching methods (教学过程) 1. Skimming & scanning methods to make the Ss get a good understanding of the text. 2. Discussion methods to make the Ss understand what they’ve learned in class. 3. Pair work within groups to get every student to take part in the teaching-and-learning activities. 4. Competition and role-play method to arouse the Ss’ interest Teaching aids (教学准备): Computer & the Multi-media Teaching procedures (教学步骤): Step 1 Lead-in 1. Before class, play a music video. 2. Greeting. 3. Lead-in by showing the Ss a series of pictures of happytime in comparison with those
disastrous ones so as to enable the Ss get to know that: “Life is wonderful on the surface but life can also be fragile.” Step 2 Pre-reading Show the Ss pictures of various accidents happening in day-to-day life. Ask them the following questions: What is happening? What sort of injuries the person will have? If you come across such kind of situation, what will you do to help them before the doctors arrive? Then hold a discussion to figure out the solutions to those situations, which bring in the definition of the first aid. Step3. See a video from Mr. Bean’s works about first aid on the street and try to find out the wrong deeds. 3. Role-play Serve as a medical professional to act out how to place a proper first aid in emergency to a person who suddenly got a heart attack. Step6. Conclusion & Assignment 1. Search as much information as you can about first aid and make a poster within groups to introduce it 2. Ask some groups to present their designing results to the class next time. 3. Review the content learnt today and make preparations for next period.
