【Story time】
1. Liu Tao comes home from a football game.
come home from…… 从……回家
2. That smells nice. 闻起来不错。
smell作为动词，意为“闻”，作为名词，意为“气味”。
3.Are you cooking meat? 你在煮肉吗？
此句是现在进行时的一般疑问句。
meat意为“肉”，是不可数名词。
4.I’m washing some vegetables. 我正在洗一些蔬菜。
此句是现在进行时的肯定句。
vegetable意为“蔬菜”，是可数名词。如：some vegetables一些蔬菜
5.I want to cook some tomato soup.我想做些西红柿汤。
want to do sth.想做某事。
tomato意为“西红柿”；soup意为“汤”，是不可数名词。
tomato soup西红柿汤
6.I’m cooking meat with potatoes.我正在做肉烧土豆。
potato意为“土豆”，其复数形式是potatoes
tomato复数形式tomatoes。如：some tomatoes一些西红柿
7.I can’t wait. 我等不及了。
补充：can’t wait to do sth. 迫不及待做某事。
如：I can’t wait to visit my aunt. 我迫不及待要去看望我的阿姨。
8.look for some juice 找果汁（juice意为“果汁”，是不可数名词）

---No,but there’s some orange juice.
any用于一般疑问句和否定句；some用于肯定句和表示请求，邀请，建议的问句。

be ready for sth. 为……做好准备

---It’s yummy.很美味。
yummy意为“美味的”，近义词nice或delicious。
13.a great cook一名很棒的厨师
14.How’s my soup? 我汤做得怎么样？

【Grammar time】
现在进行时的一般疑问句（be动词放于句子的开头）
---Are you cooking meat with potatoes?
---Yes, I am. / No,I’m not.

---Is she looking for any juice?
---Yes, she is. / No,she isn’t.
现在进行时的否定句（在be动词后面加not）
I’m not washing vegetables.\
My mother isn’t cooking dinner.
They’re not watching TV.
特殊疑问句

What are you doing?

There be句型
There is some meat in the fridge.
There are five tomatoes in the fridge.
There is some meat and some vegetables in the fridge.（there be句型的就近原则）

knife“刀”；fork“叉子”

4. They can’t help me.它们帮不了我。
5. seven spots七个点。

catch“抓，抓住”，其三单为catches。
