1. Objective.

This Method of Statement establishes all procedures proposed by China

Harbor Engineering Company LTD to complete the Drainage 4U-Ditch Plan

for Colon Container Terminal Phase III - Stage 1 PK III-1G.

2. Scope.

The purpose of this document is to describe the work method shall be

used, to efficiently complete the Drainage 4U-Ditch Plan for Catch

Basin.

All construction activities will be completed in strict adherence to

Quality, Safety regulations and with respect to the friendly environment.

3. Reference Drawings on this Document.

3.1 Here in following drawing referenced in this document.

a. GC-01, GC02 Drainage System Layout

b. GC03, Details on existing Drainage System.

c. GC4, GC5, GC6, GC7, GC8, GC9, New Drainage System Details.

4. General Construction Arrangement.

The construction equipment is detailed in each of the separate drainage

scheme. The combination of cast-in-situ and prefabricating method is used

for the 4U ditch. The prefabricated section is completed in the precast yard

and then transported to the site by flat-bed trailer for hoisting, and the

construction of cast-in-situ section is carried out after the prefabricated

section is installed.

5. Construction Method of 4U-Ditch.

5.1 Construction Schedule

The cast-in-situ method is used for the construction of all 4U-ditches in this

project. The 4U-ditch is 631m long in total. It has been established a

progress of 20m length, on daily basis for a total of 35 days, 2 team will be

on site to comply with this proposal, scheduled to commence works on Oct.

21, 2013 to Nov. 25, 2013.

5.4 Excavation

5.4.1 The side boundary of the pipeline shall be determined and marked

according to the location on the drawing, and the gauge pile shall be

driven. According to the pipeline after setting out, the actual position

and length of the pipeline shall be checked, and the mini-excavator

shall be used and coordinated by manual excavation.

5.4.2 During excavation, the designed elevation of the bottom of ditch shall

be strictly controlled. 10m shall be reserved for bottom cleaning

manually by the workers in the case of mechanical excavation, and the

attached figure shall be added to illustrate the reserved part, so as to

avoid that the undisturbed soil at the bottom of ditch is disturbed by

over-excavation during mechanical operation.

5.4.3 To prevent from ponding in the ditch, the gutters are excavated on

both sides of the ditch, the collecting well shall be provided at intervals,

and the sewage pump shall be used to pump the water to the

temporary drainage system. The excavated ditch shall be leveled, and

tamped by workers.
