Asappropriate, specific Cannon, VEAM, and BIW Connector Systemsproducts may be ordered with an R prefix number which insuresour customers will receive RoHS compliant parts for their commercial electronics applications and equipment. Since mostRoHS hazardous substances center around specific metal platingand lead solder coatings, ITT’s products for RoHS compliance areavailable in the following plating finishes: electroless nickel, stainless steel, anodize over aluminum and gold plating. It shouldbe noted that gold plating would be recommended as thereplacement for tin-lead solder when orderingboard mount connectors.
