The Evolution and Development of Computers.
The journey of computers, from their humble beginnings
to their current status as indispensable tools of modern
life, is an extraordinary testament to human ingenuity and
technological progress. Spanning multiple decades, this
remarkable evolution has been driven by a relentless quest
for efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility.
In the early stages of computer history, the concept of
a programmable machine was still in its infancy. The
predecessors of modern computers were large, bulky machines
that were both expensive and complex to operate. These
early machines, such as the ENIAC (Electronic Numerical
Integrator and Computer) in 1945, were primarily used for
mathematical computations and were far removed from the
portable, user-friendly devices we know today.
