例如:对于“小题大做” e s)这一概念,人们可以用一句谚语“ i lls, 也可以用口语体表达方法e r of it.

狗在美国文化中是人类最忠实的朋友,在美国俚语中, 与狗有关的俚语常常带有褒义色彩,如“you are alucky dog”, “every dog has its day”.“old dog will not learn new tricks”。 美国多数人信基督教,很多俚语 常常与基督教经典《圣经》相关,如“Go to hell”、“you can go to the devil”等。
Abstract:American slang originates from the people of lower class, but has been used by people of different states, which makes it into a popular language from the vulgar one.The essay tells the development of American slang from both the aspects of language itself and social culture. We can judge from the essay that people can not only experience the unique characteristic of slang, but also the American culture which is hidden in this language.
