八年级英语下册教案Unit 8 Why don’t you get her a scarf?
【教材分析】
本单元是人教版新目标英语八年级下册第八单元的内容，是以“Why don't you get her a scarf?”展开“Gift giving”话题讨论的。

通过对“Gift giving”的大胆设想训练孩子们口语表达，培养孩子们丰富的想象力和创新能力，同时也让他们懂得：人要有爱心，要懂得去爱周围的亲人、朋友和同学,同时要怀着一颗感恩的心去对待周围的每一个人。

本单元主要运用“Why don't you ...?/ Why not ...?; What about ...?/ How about...?”等表示提建议和评价的句子来表达自己的一种心愿或想法，让学生在特定的语境中感觉和发现英语语言的变化，从而达到理解和灵活运用的目的。

【学情分析】
在本单元教学过程中，在注重启发引导，培养学生分析、概括能力的同时，更要注重教学方法的灵活性，通过任务型教学法，情景交际法等，激发学生学习的兴趣，让学生乐于接受，易于接受。

c) Grammar: 情态动词should 的用法
能力目标:1.培养学生运用why don’t you/why not /what about /how about 的句型结构来表达个人建议或看法的能力。

2. 培养学生运用expensive/boring/cheap/interesting 等形容词来比较物体品质不同的能力。

3. 情感目标使学生在讨论礼物的过程中，理解体会关爱别人或被别人关爱的快乐和幸福
【教学重点】
本单元重点在其运用“Why don't you ...?/ Why not ...?; What abou t ...?/ How about...?”等表建议和评价的句型。

Step 1 Warming-up and Revision
1.Greetings and free talk.
Step 2 Guessing
T：“What’s the date today, do you know.” Show a calendar of May, and tel l them the second Sunday in May, it’s a special day. Ask: “Do you know what day it is?” Present “Mothers’ Day”. Say: “On the special day, what should we get our mums?” Students talk freely.
Step 3 Lead in
1)Teacher can give them a suggestion, “If we aren’t sure, would you mind going to a gift shop?” Then with the picture and teach how to give
suggestions and comments, present the suggestions, like: “Why don’t you get her…/ Why not get her…? What/How about getting her a….? You could get her …” and comments,like: “That’s too…/That’s not …enough. Or “That sounds great./ Good idea./..”
2)Help students learn to talk about the suggestions with the sentences: Why don’t you get her a scarf ?/Why not buying her a scarf?/What about
a scarf/….
3)Then help them make a comment on the suggestions with the sentences: No .that’s too boring/expensive…
Step 4 Practice
This time, let students talk about getting their mums gifts freely. And ask some pairs to practice in front of the class.
Step 5 Task 1：Make a conversation
Make a conversation of buying a gift for your friend or your family member. (The Ss can choose one, my friend or my sister) Work in pairs. After several minutes, share some of their conversations.
Step 6 Listening
T: You will hear two boys talking about buying a gift.
Then play the tape first, and check the answers. Play it again, Ss repeat it and fill in the blanks
. Step 7 Listening Work on 2a and 2b.
“You will hear three conversations. After each conversation, put a check after the name of the person who is going to get the gift.”Check the answers.

一、教学内容分析本课是初二年级八单元第六课，本单元涵盖与环境相关的词汇、短语及内容，学生们会了解我们的生活方式如何影响环境，以及理解回收利用的重要性，减少浪费。

学生们会简单了解到生物之间的联系，探索可以采取的环保的行为。

从课文内容及语法知识来看，本课是这一单元综合的一课，所以我把本课设为英语阅读课，让学生通过自己阅读获取重点信息，并仿照文中的表达，联系之前所学，完成任务。

二、教学目标分析根据英语课程标准的要求及本话题的任务，结合学生的实际情况，我确定了本课的教学目标。

（1）知识目标：语法方面有more often的用法，a lot 、much修饰比较级，关于新能源的词的了解，（2）能力目标：能读懂课文，能简单复述文章，能简单表达自己喜好的出行方式，能用动词不定式（3）德育目标：通过课文提到的汽车对环境不利，倡导绿色出行，极探索新能源，激发学生想象力。

三、教学策略本次教学的对象是八年级的学生，经过一个学年的英语学习，学生应该已经有一定的基础，能自由运用所学知识进行基本话题的交流。

且本单元的话题及本课任务设定应符合他们的兴趣。

但由于种种原因，整个年级英语学科很薄弱，学生的基础差，开口能力和动手能力都不强。

对英语也不太有兴趣，所以针对此情况，我的设计比较简单，逐项完成训练，多给予图文及语言引导，最终达到教学目的。

本课侧重培养学生的表达能力，培养学生熟练运用所学功能用语谈论交通方式。

利用多媒体，创设情景，培养学生直接用英语理解和思维的能力。

在具体教学过程中始终将学生置于主体地位，使他们不停的动脑子将零散的语言组织到一起，并积极表达出来，达到培养和强化学生的语言实践能力。

通过两两对话及小组任务型活动培养学生互相合作的学习方法，这种合作有两层含义：一是行动上的合作，二是知识资源共享和思想方法的合作；3、通过设置情景，以情景带动语言，培养学生使用语言的能力和交际能力。

四、教学重点及难点（1）重点：课文当中的关于各种交通方式的表达（2）难点：灵活运用重点并熟练表达。

通过对话的学习与实践，进一步学习体会煮面条的过程。

通过小组活动、游戏也能使学生在心智发展的同时，在情感上也逐渐成熟起来。

四、本课教法、学法分析根据本课的特点和学生的实际情况，我利用了直观教学法来进行导入教学。

比如：呈现fried rice的图片引入今天要学的内容，此外，主要通过“任务型教学途径”来实施教学。
