Unit 1: My New Friends
Hi, my name is Emily and I am in the seventh grade. I would
like to tell you about my new friends.
A few weeks ago, I started at a new school and I felt nervous
about making friends. Thankfully, everyone in my class was very
friendly and welcoming. I quickly became friends with Sarah, who
sits next to me in class. She is really funny and always makes me
laugh.
I also made friends with Alex, who is on the basketball team.
He is very athletic and always tries to include me in games during
recess. Another friend I made is Lily, who loves to read just like
me. We often borrow books from each other and discuss our
favorite stories.
I am really grateful for my new friends as they have made my
transition to a new school much easier. I look forward to
spending more time with them and getting to know them better.
Unit 2: My Favorite Hobby
Hello, my name is Jack and I am going to tell you about my
favorite hobby. I have always loved playing the guitar and I started taking
lessons a year ago. Since then, I have been practicing diligently
and have learned to play many songs. Playing the guitar helps
me relax and express myself creatively.
I enjoy playing all kinds of music, but my favorite genre is
rock. I love the energy and emotion in rock songs and I try to
incorporate that into my playing.
In addition to playing the guitar, I also enjoy writing my own
music. It is a great way for me to express my thoughts and
feelings. I hope to start a band with my friends one day and play
in front of an audience.
Overall, playing the guitar is something that brings me joy
and allows me to explore my creativity. It is definitely my favorite
hobby.
Unit 3: My Dream Vacation
Hey there, my name is Sophia and I want to share with you
my dream vacation.
I have always wanted to visit Japan and explore its rich
culture and history. I am fascinated by the traditional temples,
beautiful gardens, and delicious cuisine that Japan has to offer. One of the things I am most excited about is staying in a
traditional Japanese ryokan. I would love to experience the
tatami floors, sliding doors, and soaking in an onsen.
I also can't wait to try sushi and other authentic Japanese
dishes. I have heard that the food in Japan is amazing and I am
eager to try everything.
Lastly, I am looking forward to visiting the bustling city of
Tokyo and the serene countryside of Kyoto. I want to see the
iconic landmarks such as Mount Fuji, Shibuya Crossing, and the
cherry blossom trees in full bloom.
I hope that one day I will be able to make my dream vacation
to Japan a reality and experience all the wonders it has to offer.
