通过学习前两节新授课《Waiting for Another Hare》和《The Lion and the Mouse》，学生已经学习英语故事都有一定的基础，就是缺乏系统地总结阅读方法。

本课时通过对Unit 12 Let’s Go Further的学习与理解，懂得如何阅读英语故事的方法以及看图写简单的英语故事。

二、教学目标（一）语言知识目标1.理解Story Time : The Lion and the Four Bulls的故事内容。

2.能认读Story Time : The Lion and the Four Bulls中出现的新单词：once, quarrel, unity, strength.3.通过故事的阅读，掌握阅读的方法，并能利用图片用英语自编故事。

（二）语言技能目标1.通过阅读，能理解故事的主要内容。

2通过用英语自编小故事，巩固动词一般过去式。

（三）学习策略目标1.通过语言交际性训练，提高语言表达能力和想象力。

2.学会借助图片或理解故事和自编故事。
