三、《基地》译文介绍分析选取的中文译文分别为2005年叶李华翻译，天地出版社出版的版本[3](下文简称译文1)和发表于2004年《科幻世界译文版射手号》，由许东华翻译的版本[4](下文简称译文2)。

两个版本的译文均成功获得了目标读者的喜爱。

译文1第二版于2012年4月发售第一天即卖出3000本；译文2尽管发布于杂志上，仍有许多科幻爱好者推荐并怀念该翻译版本。

四、目的论视角下的科幻小说翻译目的论视角下翻译科幻小说的目的主要有两点：娱乐读者；满足读者的预期。

由于读者对科幻小说的知识掌握程度不同，译者需要分析目标读者对译文的预期和他们的文化知识背景，从而选择适合的翻译策略。

阿西莫夫(Eoac Asimov)《基地》(Foundation )小说最明显的特征就是宏大的想象，小说设定在跨越浩瀚宇宙的银河帝国，作者带领我们探索无尽的时间和空间，在他创作的未来世界中，有不同的种族、信仰、生活方式和文化，但这也给翻译带来了困难，因为文字世界和源文化，源文化和目标文化间存在巨大的文化距离。

科幻小说的翻译目的决定了译者是否要保留文字世界原封不动，进而通过文化距离获得特殊的异域特色。

由于翻译科幻小说的目的主要是娱乐读者，因此分析目标读者的知识背景和预期极为重要。

下文中翻译策略均采用郭教授有关归化/异化，直译/意译的定义。

译文1的读者是普通大众，他们可能有也可能没有科幻小说的背景知识，因此译文1的译者需要考虑目标读者的理解能力和预期，既要保留小说中的异域风情，又要保证即使第一次接触科一、科幻小说的翻译及相关研究西方科幻小说在中国的翻译历史较短，自晚清至今约100年。

20世纪90年代科幻小说翻译出现井喷，多家出版社出版了新的科幻翻译作品，《科幻世界》杂志还向读者推荐了西方科幻杰作《安德的游戏》(Ender's Game )、《沙丘》(Dune )、《光晕》(The Fall of Reach )等作品。
