高中英语阅读课的教学设计与反思 Unit 4 Sports The Olympic games (Reading) Ⅰ、教材内容分析: 本单元的中心话题是“体育运动”、具体涉及“各种体育运动”、“奥运会”、“体育爱好与兴趣”等。语言技能和语言知识部分主要是围绕“体育”这一中心话题进行设计的。“阅读”(Reading)部分是一篇叙述性的说明文,介绍了现代奥运会会的发展史,奥运会在世界范围的影响,以及举办奥运会的最高宗旨。最后作者还介绍了世界人民对举办奥运会充满热忱,尤其是中国人民正在为2008年第29届奥运会在中国的顺利举行而不懈地做出自己的努力。这一部分旨在引导学生更全面地、更深层地“奥运”在世界人民生活中所起的重要作用,更好地理解和学习“奥运”精神。 Ⅱ、学情分析: 通过前面“热身”(Warming up)、“听力”(Listening )、“口语”(Speaking)三个部分内容的的学习和训练,帮助同学们在大脑中形成了一个有关“体育运动”的信息包;学习和复习了一些有关描述体育运动的名词;丰富了他们有关描述体育的语言;增加了同学们相关的体育知识,并以此为诱发,培养了同学们对体育的兴趣。这也就为下一步“阅读”做好了思想准备。 Ⅲ、Teaching goals 教学目标 | 1.Target Language 目标语言 a. 重点词汇和短语 athlete, compete, competitor, Greece, motto, further. track and field, rank, gymnastics, prepare, preparation, host. b. 重点句型 (1) Every four years athletes from all over the world take part in the Olympic Games. (2) The ancient Olympic Games began around the year 776 BC in Greece. (3) Some of the games in which the young men competed were: running, jumping and wrestling. (4) In Sydney the Chinese team got 28 gold medals, ranking third of all the competing countries. (5) Following the history–making success in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, China won another great competition in 2001 which was not for medal. Ⅳ、Teaching methods 教学方法 1.Listening to the tape. (individuals) 2.Group discussion and presentation (cooperative learning). 3.Multi-functional teaching equipment (CAI) Ⅴ、Teaching aids 教具准备 Multi-functional teaching equipment (CAI) Ⅵ、Teaching procedures and ways 教学过程与方式 Step I Lead-in (引入) 1、播放第二十四届汉城奥运会会歌“Hand in Hand”。屏幕显示以奥林匹克运动会场作为背景的一些奥林匹克运动比赛项目及著名运动员。之后,提出下列问题: Questions: (1). Do you know the song? And what is the name of the song? (2) Can you tell some sports in the Olympic Games? 2、播放五环旗(同时向学生提问): Question: (1). What do the five colors represent? (2). What do the rings stand for? (3). Would you like to know more about the Olympic Games? 这个问题很容易引起学生的兴趣,激发他们学习和探究的热情,并自然地导入下一个活动任务。 Step II Pre-reading 读前 1. 让同学们互相交流他们所知道的有关奥运的信息。 2. 通过下列问题进一步讨论举办奥运会的意义和奥运会历史。

2. 能力目标 a. 培养捕捉篇章细节的能力。 b.使学生通过阅读了解更多的关于奥运会的历史和基本知识,了解中国与奥运的关系,热爱祖国,关注奥运,并学会与他人交流与合作。 c. 通过合作式、探究式学习方式,激发学生的学习兴趣,使学生由被动变主动,积极参与学习过程。体会英语作为工具学科所带来的乐趣。 3.学能目标

训练阅读能力,培养阅读技巧。学会用英语进行交流和解决实际问题。 (为了培养学生积极参与课堂活动的意识,让同学们进行小组讨论:Work in group of four.) (1). Which sport events do you like to watch most? Why? (2). Is it important to win a sports match? Why or why not? (3). Are the Olympic Games important to our society? Why or why not? (4). Why do athletes from so many countries want to take part in the Olympic Games? 以上的四个问题是在“热身”、“听力”、和“口语”所涉及的话题的基础上设计的,目的是为了进一步提高学生对体育运动会的正确认识;引导学生理解奥运会的重要性和奥运会所倡导的体育精神。有利于培养学生的开放性思维能力,引导学生为下一步“阅读”做好准备。 Step III Reading 阅读 Task 1. Fast reading (略读) Skim the text quickly to get the general idea of the text: T: Now read the text quickly and try to get the information for the three questions. (1) .How many kinds of Olympic Games are mentioned in the text? What are they? (2). When and where were the first modern Olympic Games held? (3). When and where were the 27th Olympic Games held? And how many countries and competitors took part in them? (4). What is the Olympic motto? 以上设计的四个问题主要是通过完成这一阅读任务,捕捉信息,了解文章主旨大意。 Task 2. Intensive reading (细读) 1).Read the text very carefully and learn about the details of the text. T: Please read the text again and tell which statements are true and which statements are false by discussing with your group- mates. 2).True or false: 在屏幕上播放6个句子,让同学们一起随机在屏幕上判断正误。 (1). The Winter Olympic Games are held every two years (2). The ancient Olympic Games started around the year 776 AD in Greece. (3). In Sydney, there were still two countries’ team who got more gold medals than Chinese team. (4). In the 27th Olympic Games, there were over 10,000 athletes from 13 countries. (5). In the old times both men and women were allowed to take part in the Olympic Games. (6). The 28th Olympics will be held in Beijing. 在完成这一任务的过程中,通过阅读课文再进行改错,可以提高其阅读能力和记忆能力。 Task 3.Summary T: Ask the students to find out the topic sentences of each paragraph and the key words in silent reading.

( 学生回答完毕,屏幕上播放课文每段的段意及关键词)。 这一部分活动的设计旨在引导学生更全面、更深层次地理解“奥运”在全世界人民生活中所起的重要作用,更好地理解和学习“奥运”精神。 并培养学生利用总结、归纳等逻辑手段分析和解决问题。 以上的活动任务主要是对学生进行有效的语言知识输入的过程,同学们在这个过程中,不断地获得知识或得出结论,从而获得语言运用的能力,为下一步语言知识的输出奠定了基础。

Paragraph 3 The modern Olympic Games happened in 1896. Paragraph 4 The Olympic motto is “Swifter, Higher, Stronger”. Paragraph 5 China won the competition to host the Olympic Games in 2008.
