The Necessity of Mental Health Education for College Students
Nowadays, many colleges and universities have been offering mental health classes to their
students. Besides, many teachers majoring in this field are also ready to provide

have mental problems. Most students are under heavy pressure caused by their study or social

health education provides students with a means to tackle various mental problems through

Personally, I am a strong proponent of mental health education. According to me, not only is it
necessary and important, it is also beneficial to the students ’overall development. With both a
healthy body and sound mind, college students are more likely to challenge all hardships and
cultivate healthy lifestyles and positive outlook in their whole life.

In recent years, the employment situation in China has become increasingly severe and
competitive. In order to cope with this issue, the central government has called on college
graduates to go to the rural areas to serve as village officials.
There is no denying that this policy has very constructive influences on both the graduate talents

Fear of Failure
Fear of failure is one of the biggest blocks/barriers/obstacles to success. We are afraid of what other people will think. We are afraid of being uncomfortable. We are afraid of looking bad.
One of the best ways to conquer/overcome/defeat those fears is confidence. Confidence in
what you are doing. True, if you are attempting something halfheartedly, then you should naturally fear failure, because that is probably what is going to happen, if you only halfway try at something, then you should worry about what other people think. You should worry about looking bad, because you will look bad.

Criticism
It can be pleasant to receive praise, yet it is criticism that will often bring you the most value.
It is great to know what you are doing right, and it is even more important to understand what you
are doing wrong. Even if the criticism of you is based on a mistaken perception or an assumption
that is just not true, once you know about it you will be in a position to correct it.
Listen carefully to those who criticize you. They are doing you a favor even though that
may not be their intention. If the criticism is totally unfounded, it is an affirmation that you are
making a difference. If the criticism has some merit, it is truly valuable feedback.
Keep in mind that every criticism is just someone ’ s opinion. Take it and use it for what it is worth. There is no need for criticism to get you down. When possible, find within it the insight,

Are Scores Important?
When we come to talk about scores, some people think that scores are very important. In their opinion, whether a student can enter a college or not is still, to a large extent, based on his exam
results. Other people hold that scores are not important. As the argument goes, society needs
capable students but not those high scores with low abilities. As to me, both views have their
limitations.
First, it is true that whether you can enter a college or not mostly depends on the examination
scores, but if one has not any practical knowledge he cannot tackle practical problems. Second,
though scores can ’denote every aspect of a person, it can at least prove that how much

Live on or off Campus
When asked about living on or off campus, different people have different opinions due to their financial conditions and personal inclinations. Some like to live off campus because of its freedom
and comfort while others prefer to live on because of its convenience and low cost. As to me, I will

The Most Impressing Course in My College Life During the two years of college life, I have attended many special courses, among which the most impressed one is psychology. I still remembered the days when I was fed up with my major Math, which frustrated me so much. Till I fortunately select one of the most fascinating optional courses lectured by Professor Wang. Time gone back to the first class of Mr. Wang, I found a little old man came in the classroom with a thick book of psychology. Mysteriously, I first unveiled and explored the myth within it by the vivid demonstration of Mr. Wang, and became fascinated with this course. In the following days, it Mr. Wang's lectures give us an insight into psychological phenomenons reflected in ordinary people’s daily lives by illustrating examples in reality. To be frank, it is the psychology class that enlightens my soul of exploring the unknown world and stimulate my desire to learn.
