《Unit3 At the zoo》(第四课时)教学案例

(PEP小学英语三年级下册)

安徽省池州市贵池区实验小学 纪和霞

Ⅰ、Course description

本课选用的教材是PEP小学英语三年级第二册中的第三单元《Unit 3 At the

zoo》第四课时《B Let’s talk》。这个单元主要通过观察比较动物身体部位特征,来学习一些形容词和日常对话。本课重点学习新词(so, tail, long, short)和句子(It has a long nose/ a short tail/ small eyes / big ears. It is so big/ funny.), 以及拓展延伸学习句型It/He/She has…and…. It/ He/ She is so….I have…and….

I am so…。在教学中向学生渗透热爱动物、保护动物意识,培养学生与动物和谐相处的情感 。

Ⅱ、Teaching aims

1、Aims on the knowledge

(1)、Learn and grasp the new words:so, tail,long,short.

(2)、Understand and say the patterns:It is so (big ).It

has ….It/He/She has…and….It/He / She is so…. I have…and….I

am so…。

2、Aim on the abilities

(1)、To develop students’abilities of listening, speaking and

reading.

(2)、To foster students’abilities of communication, imagination

and innovation.

3、Aims on the emotion

(1)、To develop students’keen interest in English,and to get fun

from English studying.

(2)、To foster students’emotion of loving animals.

Ⅲ、Key points and difficult points

1、Understand and say the new words and patterns. 2、Use them in real

conditions.

Ⅳ、 Teaching aids

Some toys,a head decoration of dog,four cards,a tape 2 recorder,CAI,etc.

Ⅴ、Teaching methods: Chant, TPR, Game, Group-works.

VII、Teaching steps

Step 1 Warm up/Revision

1、Talk freely.

2、Let’s chant. ( Student Book 1, Unit 4 B Let’s Chant)

Stick the pictures of “cat,pig ,monkey and mouse” on the blackboard. Play

the tape. Have the students point, chant and do, eg:

Look at the cat. It is fat. Warm up/

Revision

Presentation/

Practise Presentation Teach new words (tail ,so ,long ,short )and new pattern (It’s so small /funny. It has a long nose/a short tail. )。借助实物,对比教学新词及句型。以 “学生为主体,教师为主导”,重点引导学生说。

Presentation Teach new pattern (It has …and …)借助实物,创设情境,教学本课重点及难点句型It

has (small eyes )and (big ears),中间穿插“Catch and say”活动,巩固知识,激发兴趣。

Consolidation 借助图片和CAI课件,创设真实语境,拓展延伸教学句型It/He/She has…and… 、It/He/She is so…, 激发学生热爱动物情感。

Consolidation 借助面具引出句型I have …and …,小组表演,巩固句型。鼓励学生在“玩中学,说中会”,培养学生的自主创新意识及团结协作精神。

Wrap up 对照板书,理清思路,小结内容。

Homework Say the dialogs in real conditions. 学用结合。 3 Look at the pig. It is big.

Look at the monkey. It is funny.

Look at the mouse. In my house.

3、Let’s do.

T:Touch your nose. Touch your eyes. Touch your mouth. Touch your

ears. Touch your tail.

【点评:TRR 活动使学生全身得到放松,并复习描述了身体部位的词,自然过渡到新课。】

Step 2 Presentation / Practice

1、Presentation: Teach the words (tail,so,long,short) and patterns (It is

so… 、It has…).

T: Oh, sorry, we have no tail. But animals have tails (出示卡片,读tail). Let’s go to the zoo. Come on, Children.

T: Look, here is the zoo.

(Show toys of mouse and elephant)This is a mouse, and this is an

elephant. (Ss repeat)

T: Good.

T:(Only hold up the“mouse”)Now,look at the mouse.It’s…(以手势语提示)

Ss: It’s small./It’s very very small. …

T: Yes. It’s so small.(语气夸张些)(跟读。读准/səu/,/səu smכ:l/,/its səu

smכ:l/)

【点评:借助实物,对比教学单词so】

T: (Point to the tail of the elephant )Look, what’s this?

Ss: … (引导说出tail)

Yes. It’s a tail.( 读 tail)The mouse has a tail. Is it long or short? (学生疑惑)

(这时教师拿出一支短铅笔和一把长尺子,对比教学long 、short )

T:(show a long ruler)Look at the… (Ss:ruler). It’s long. It’s so long. (伴以夸张的手势) (读“long”, /כ /,/lכ/,/lכng/)

(Show a short pencil)Look at the…(Ss: pencil).Yes, pencil. It’s short.(教读short) It’s so short. (伴以手势,读句子)

T: (Hold up the ruler and pencil) You see.The ruler is long. It’s so long.The

pencil is short. It’s so short. 4 【点评:将铅笔和尺子的长短进行对比,教学新词long 和 short,同时巩固so

的用法。】

T: Now. Look at the mouse again. The tail is…(Ss:long),not…(Ss:short).

Yes.The tail is long.It’s so long.(读句子)

The mouse has a …(long tail).(动作提示,读句子)

OK.It has a long tail. (读句子)

【点评:使学生明白It的不同指代关系,同时初步学习句型 It has …】

T: (Do different funny actions with the mouse’s tail) Look! The mouse is…(Ss:funny)

T and Ss: It’s so funny. (读 )

T: Yes. It’s so funny. It’s so small.

(Point to the tail) It’s so long.Other ideas? How do you think of the mouse?

Ss: It’s so nice./It’s so beautiful.…

2、 Presentation: Teach new pattern (It has…and…).

T:Excellent! How about the elephant? (Show the“elephant”) Look at the

elephant.Wow! It’s big.It’s …(Ss:so big).(手势引导,板书句子,读)

T:(Point to the nose)The elephant has a …(Ss: long nose). (板书。读“has

a ”, /æ/,/hæz/,/hæz/ /ə/,/hæzə/)
